Kins Doll 1953 SLW Taffeta Outfit Box Blonde Wendy. Madame Alexander Kins Doll 1953 SLW Taffeta Outfit Box Blonde Wendy. You are purchasing a Madame Alexander Kins Doll 1953 SLW with a Jumper Taffeta, Matching bonnet, and Taffeta Bloomers attached to an organdy blouse original socks and the shoes may be a later 50s alexander wendy doll shoes with a box and lid. She has a blonde color hair and green eyes. She is in pat smith book on page 21 as a 1953 or early 1954 walker. Her body does do the walker movement. She is in cute displayable condition. I do not know if her box is the correct box as it has no number or writing with information. Its just an alexander smaller doll box with someone’s handwriting saying old doll on it. Her outfit is gorgeous and her cheeks are a nice coloring they have an orangey blush which looks really nice with the blonde hair. The outfit I believe is the correct coloring an in between red and pink I do not think its faded as it appears that way in the book and if its faded all three pieces are exactly the same color in all areas so its an even which I think thats almost impossible so I do not believe its faded. The outfit has minor soiling and a few minor stains all shown in the close ups overall its crisp and nice coloring. The white has aging. The organdy has a few minor pin holes. By the waist seam of the organdy there is a very small separation you can display without mends it is shown in the close ups. There is a small pop stitch on the crotch seam but no holes. The elastic is good in the bloomers. I believe the snaps may of been replaced as they are circle not square. The socks one has a small hole and both have stretch at the top. The shoes I think are replaced with later 50s or early 60s alex kins shoes as they are the suede with smooth bottoms and not the special stitching they used in the early shoes. They have some wear mostly on the bottom. The lace trims minor pulls in areas few minor broken lace threads. The hat has a small edge tear on the ribbon as shown in the close ups. She has some rubs to her colored blush as shown and some minor rubs to the eye brows. She needs a minor cleaning especially under her neck I do not clean old dolls with fear of damaging. She has minor scratches mostly on her arms and legs and I think some of it is factory as I see this frequently on the kins and minor wear. She does have a few very tiny splits on where the parts meet. They are on both upper thighs, her hip, and one on the neck which is very hard to see as her head covers it. All shown in the close ups. Her wig is nice with only minor fly aways and minor looseness to the curls its mostly in a nice setting. She is a pale color but her make up pops out. Her eyes open and closed. I gave you close ups of everything. She is still a very displayable doll I just wanted to detail any flaw I saw. She is a cutie. This swing is very hard to find Measure 10″ H x13″L. Very displayable item shown with Wendy kin + Cissette but they are not included just to show you how it will display. Condition: Vinyl is really nice its soft no stiff and no major flaws in it. Fringe is all there is has some soiling/age some pieces need to be brush down its minor. Metal works there is small areas of tarnish and rust specs but its here and there not all over and mostly on the back side of the chair and bottom. Nothing broken or missing. This is the darling HTF “Parlour Maid” #579 from 1956. You can see a picture of her in P. Smith’s book “The World of Alexander-kins” on page 83. This is a gorgeous bend-knee walker with bright all original facial coloring and a beautiful triple stitch auburn wig. The precious outfit consists of the tagged black taffeta dress with organdy apron and “doily” style headpiece. All are in very good condition with no stains, holes, or other problems. Under the dress she wears a very nice organdy slip with good original elastic, and matching organdy panties that are also in perfect shape. Her socks and fuzzy bottom shoes are also in excellent condition. Her outfit is completed with the original dust mop that is secured to her hand with the correct pink covered wire. Here for your consideration is a jumper outfit with a one piece romper under the dress. These outfits were produced by Madame Alexander for the Kins doll between 1953 and 1955 and came in a variety of prints and fabrics. The pieces were made to wear separately or together. The sleeveless dress has a pattern of red roses and green leaves on a royal blue background. It is trimmed with red rickrack. It closes with three buttons down the back. The Kins tag is present on the back of the dress. Note: about a quarter inch of rickrack was loose on the front right sleeve opening. I put in a couple of stitches to secure it and took a photo of the area. It is not readily apparent. The romper has an attached organdy blouse. It is also tagged as shown in the photos. There is a small hole under the left sleeve and a tiny bit of what I think is red transfer from the dress on the same sleeve. The two snaps in the back are secure. Other than noted above, the outfit is in very nice condition. I see no other damage, rips, tears or stains and no odors. Here today is an adorable, 8 inch, hard plastic BKW, all original, tagged “Wendy Kins Nurse” doll #460, marked on her back ALEX, made by Madame Alexander in 1963. This little hard to find cutie is just about as perfect as can be without being considered mint. Other than that and just a slight trace of light dust she is perfect. Her darling tagged nurses outfit is crisp and clean in excellent condition with no holes, no tears, no stains, no discoloration and no fading. The blue and white striped dress is tagged Wendy-Kins closing in the back with the original intact square snaps. The white pinafore closes in the back with a self tie sash that feeds through white painted grommets. Wendy is wearing her original white organdy panties with lace around the leg openings. Her sweet little white nurses cap is rolled back as it should be but there is only one stick pin in the back. Wendy is wearing her original white anklet socks and her off white shoes with off white satin ribbons with fuzzy bottoms. Her sweet little baby doll is made of hard hard plastic with tiny little eyes that move side to side and open and close. I believe she is articulated at the legs and arms. Baby still has the original pink wire around her neck that is attached to Wendy’s wrist. She is wearing her original little white eyelet dress, bonnet and white diapers. I don’t find any issues with Wendy, her face paint is gorgeous with nicely blushed cheeks, vivid painted lower lashes and brows, and tiny red painted lips. Her big crystal clear blue eyes flutter and open and close as they should. Wendy’s flip style brunette wig is perfect, it has never been combed. Wendy is a walker with bend knees, there are no joint issues, she can stand and hold poses without any assistance. Precious hard to find Wendy Kins Nurse and her adorable baby are in excellent excellent condition that would make a wonderful addition to a Madame Alexander doll collection. She’s #621 from 1965 “Wendy in Organdy Dress”. She comes to you in excellent condition complete with her correctly marked box. Wendy is a bend-knee non-walker with lovely all original facial coloring and a fantastic brunette wig with original pink bow. She has no cracks, splits, or stains on her hard plastic. The dress is beautiful. It is pink organdy with rows of lace and flowers at the waist. There are no stains, holes, or damage. On the back left side of the skirt near the tag you can just make out a little age discoloration of the organdy. It does not detract in any way. I don’t know a lot about her, but I will tell you what I know. Be sure to correct me if I’m wrong about something. This is a 1953 Strung Alexander kins doll. She is in as found condition and I believe she is in her original box bottom. She has light blonde hair w/triple stitch and all original. Her shoes are black side snap w/stitch on top and fuzzy bottoms. She also has on her socks, don’t believe the shoes or socks have ever been taken off. She is wearing white panties w/lace trim w/tight elastic. She is marked Alex on her back and she feels heavy. She has no cracks or splits. She has painted eyelashes under her eyes. She is strung very tight and I believe it is original. Sorry she only comes with the bottom of the box. Pretty good condition–it says #511 Platinum Alexander Kins. This is such a cute doll and outfit. The darling Alexander kin has beautiful brunette hair in side bunches with red ribbons. She has lovely facial coloring that is all original and is a BKW. The outfit is in great condition. The red bodysuit is perfect with no holes, stains, tears or odors. The darling denim jacket and pants are also excellent with no issues to report. The red ties on the jacket are in great shape and show little to no wear. The darling matching hat is just perfect as well with a nice tight gold elastic strap.
