Vintage 13 inch, Composition Princess Elizabeth in a rare Peach Gown with Original Tiara. All composition with socket head, sleep eyes, real lashes, open mouth, teeth, blonde human hair unoriginal coiffure, jointing shoulders and hips. She is wearing original peach taffeta gown with peach overlay and rich ruching at hem and bodies, pink pantries, socks, silver side-snap shoes with silver buckle, black velvet cape, and with silver tiara. No damage to dress. The cape does has a few slits in the velvet from age but the dress is perfect, but the way the velvet lays not noticeable. The Gown has original cloth labelPrincess Elizabeth/Madame Alexander N. Madame Alexander 1938, portrait of the you g English Princess in Tara costume with beautifully-preserved colors and construction. No cracks or crazing in the composition. Stringing intact but loose, but the thick robe stringing that won’t break. She was from the Rodney Woller Collection. So is what I actually paid in total. It is as if Miss Cissy knows she is a “FIRST EVER SHAPELY SILHOUETTE FASHION DOLL”. Without the flat chest of Miss Binnie. MADAME ALEXANDER STEPPED OUT IN FAITH—FAITH THAT AMERICA WAS READY FOR CISSY! A FAST FAVORITE of Doll Collectors. With BENDING ELBOWS (soon to be inherited by Miss Elise two years later). VINYL ARMS with FINGERS THAT CAN HOLD THINGS. HARD PLASTIC HEAD & TORSO & LEGS with BENDING KNEES & HIGH-HEEL FEET! Yes, a SHAPELY SILHOUETTE + SHAPELY LEGS + HIGH ARCHED FEET = SUCCESS! Her face was similar to Miss Binnie—but with a more SERIOUS SWEETNESS—SOFT SUPPLE CHEEKS & STRAIGHTER “PUG” NOSE—PERFECTLY HAND PAINTED RED LIPS! AND IRIDESCENT SLEEP EYES with demure double-stroke brows & delicate under eye lashes. Wonderfully radiating “AQUA & GOLD” TINTED EYES with definite dark pupils (difficult to photograph—better in person). MISS CISSY IS NOT MINT—she has a few TINY NOSE NICKS—barely visible with the naked eye but do show up in the high definition camera photo. And a VERY FEW MISSING EYE LASHES on her right eye—please see closeup of her lying down. Her KNEES HAVE NO SPLITS OR CRACKS. CISSY DOES HAVE A SPLIT IN HER RIGHT UPPER LEG that has been filled. She has RUBS ON HER LEG JOINTS. It is very difficult to match the vintage doll paint. It is much lighter that the paint once it dries. It appears to “match perfectly” but then dries darker. Miss Cissy has been TIGHTLY RESTRUNG by her former Doll Collector Owner. Her head is VERY SNUG but can be COAXED INTO POSES. MISS CISSY HAS THE WIDE HIPS like the EARLY ELISE DOLLS—so her ankles need to be gently tied together when she sits—otherwise she sits with her legs spread wide apart—not very Ladylike—BUT A SIGNATURE FEATURE OF THE 1955 PREMIER CISSY DOLLS. Her arms interestingly enough can extend or pose very close to her body—hugging herself. “THE CISSY SUCCESS” CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO A GORGEOUS GIRL DRESSED IN A WONDERFUL WARDROBE! In keeping with this EXCEPTIONAL STANDARD OF ELEGANCE—THIS “BRAMBLE & TWIG” CUSTOM “MADE FOR CISSY” GOWN has been chosen specifically for this Little Lady. To compliment her redhead wig. I would be happy to substitute a conventional taffeta Cissy petticoat with tulle ruffle if you prefer it. But Miss Cissy and I hope you like this ONE-OF-A-KIND CRINOLINE instead.
