Madame Alexander-kins 7 1/2″ Early SLNW “Strung (1953). This is an early Madame Alexander-kins doll with a Straight Leg Non-Walker (SLNW) strung body, produced in 1953. 7 1/2 inches tall (commonly categorized as an 8-inch Alexander-kins). Straight leg, non-walker (SLNW), strung body. Sleep eyes: fully functional. Hair color: Blonde, with beautiful natural sheen and luster. Early 1953 SLNW bodies were produced in limited numbers. Compared to later versions, this early body has a noticeably heavier feel, a known characteristic of early production examples. Original factory face paint: beautifully preserved. Lips: Vivid red with a lovely coral undertone. Please note that the paint along the lip line is slightly irregular and not perfectly smooth. This is a minor factory-related detail visible only under magnification (not a physical chip). Face: There is a very slight, tiny indentation on the right temple. Cheeks: Soft, original cheek color remains in generally good condition. Eyes: Clear and bright with smooth open/close movement. Dress: Original red and white polka dot dress in excellent condition. It has been carefully wrapped in paper and stored for a long period, so the fabric shows some natural storage folds/creasing. Original red button-strap shoes. Please note there is some scuffing on the soles due to age/display. This is a vintage, all-original doll in excellent overall condition. While it shows the minor age-related/factory characteristics mentioned above. It remains a remarkable example for a doll over 70 years old. Madame Alexander Brunette CISSY Doll from 1955/56 with straight bangs with a top knot, in great condition. She has no splits. She comes with underwear (elastic has been stitched with elastic thread to bring back elasticity), nylons (couple small holes) and shoes that have had their elastic replaced and a gem added. As always, please see all photos as they are part of the description. Comes from a smoke-free home.

This vintage straight legged Madame Alexander Wendy-kins doll comes with a variety of outfits. The pj’s, robe and evening gown are all one of a kind, handmade by my mother. Vintage Madame Alexander 1950′s Doll Straight Leg Walker Doll #400 8 inches. Wendy is wearing tagged panties, socks and fuzzy bottom shoes. No other clothing included. Doll is from a long time collector’s advanced collection. Very bright and unfaded collar. The panties have normal age discoloration, but overall are good. Socks are good other than normal age discoloration. Shoes are in very good condition. They have minor toe rubbing, but otherwise great. Hair is in good styled condition. Face has minor paint rubs that are barely noticeable. She has a couple of seam splits pictured. Has some body discoloration pictured. Box has normal age discoloration and wear. Vintage 1953 Madame Alexander Wendy Bride 8 inch Straight Leg Walker Bouquet Veil. Includes a vintage box. The bride matches the 1953 and 1954 larger Bride dolls that came in 15″ and 18″. She is wearing a beautiful tagged white wedding gown with lace trim, a veil that has flowers that match the bouquet, slip, panties, garter, and fuzzy bottom shoes. She is carrying a beautiful floral bouquet. This doll is beautiful. The outfit is in great condition, but does have normal age discoloration. The top of the dress has a faint brown spec that is barely noticeable. Shoes also have normal age discoloration, but are overall in great shape. Vintage box has age discoloration and wear. When you move her head from side to side her legs walk although they are wobbly. The hard plastic body of the doll has a bisque like quality and is in good condition with no splits or cracks. However, please note that she has a couple of tiny marks on her tummy (see photo #12). She has beautiful dark sleep eyes that move freely, beautiful blushed cheeks, and perfect ruby red lips. Bo Peep’s triple stitched wig is styled in its original coiffure, with perfect curls and no missing or cut strands, etc. Adorning Bo Peep’s head is her original open weave bonnet that is accented with a large bouquet of flowers. The hat ties at the neck with a black ribbon and I believe was never removed from her head until I removed it to take the photos. Please note that the hat, while very stable, does have a few missing strands in the weave of the hat (see photo #10). Tied to her right wrist is a pretty flower bouquet and her purple shepherds staff. Also attached to the bottom of the staff is a small sheep that is very worn. A reproduction Madame Alexander tag is tied to Bo Peep’s left wrist. This beautiful doll wears a tagged pink taffeta gown with flower print side panniers. The pink taffeta skirt appears to have been ironed, is faded, and has a tiny pin size hole under the left pannier. The bodice of the dress in in great condition and a little black cumber-bun that is accented with pink felt flowers adorn her waist. Under the gown, Bo Peep wears a cotton slip and pantaloons; both with tight waist elastic. Other than the fading and tiny hole, there are no other holes, tears, or stains on the clothing. Little Bo Peep also wears original socks and black side snap shoes that have fuzzy bottoms. The doll does not come with a stand or an original box. NOTE: The wrist tag is a reproduction. Madame Alexander CISSY DOLL 21 Stockings Shoes Teddy Chemise. Absolutely Stunning CISSY by Madame Alexander. This is a RARE original of the very first version of this doll, introduced in 1955. This first version had Cissys hairstyle in straight bangs, which was only available until 1958. Beginning in 1958 and thereafter, Cissy was only available with curly bangs. She comes in her original cream color lace Chemise, which has a small tear in the lace. This should be easily repairable, and I leave that to the purchaser. Cissys black high heels are in good condition, although the elastic is stretched out. This too can be remedied with a stitch taken to tighten the elastic. She also comes with a pair of nylon stockings, which have some soiling in a couple of spots. I have not tried to clean them. Otherwise, they are in excellent condition with no tears, runs, or holes. Cissy herself is in fabulous condition with just a few marks and area of light soiling as shown in the photos. Her limbs Ben as they should and she can hold a pose. She has no cracks, chips, peeling or breaks. She has all of her beautiful lashes. Her coloring is fabulous and her cheeks, hands and even her knees have retained their rosy highlights.
