Here’s a stunning outfit for the vintage Cissy doll and similar size 20-21 inch fashion dolls. The skirt is rather festive with red, green and gold colors. It’s made of a heavy brushed cotton. Closes in the back with 1 snap. The matching ivory sweater is very pretty with gold snap buttons. The lovely matching fascinator hat is made of a brown burlap material and decorated with pretty feathers and a beautiful pearl brooch. Stretchy chin strap is attached and it comes with a pearl hatpin. Only the skirt, sweater and hat are included in this listing. Items are in excellent condition. Recently, I acquired a Cissy trunk set that contained numerous Cissy outfits, including this hard to find 2pc outfit from 1957. The outfit was a boxed extra and includes a navy, polka dotted, pleated skirt made of polished cotton and accented with flowers at the waist and a sheer nylon blouse accented with lace. Both pieces are tagged. NOTE: I had a really hard time deciding whether or not to sell these 2 pieces together as the condition of each is different. I finally made the decision to sell them together but it’s very important that it be understood that the blouse is NOT in as nice of condition as the skirt. SKIRT CONDITION: the skirt looks wonderful, even after all these decades! Flowers at waist do have a bit of wear from storage. BLOUSE CONDITION: I consider the blouse to be TLC, at least to some degree. Both cuffs need to be mended where the lace meets the nylon material with the right cuff having more areas in need of mending than the left (an example of the issue can be seen in the last pic); there are a few dropped or loose stitches along one of the shoulder seams (see 8th pic); buttons have some wear to the finish; the blouse has just a bit of general soil and the edging that finishes the bottom of the blouse has unraveled a bit on the front edges. Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic/ jointed vinyl arms. Tosca hair, stitched part, in curls. In 1950′s taffeta and tulle net gown. Presented here is a stunning Madame Alexander 1950′s Cissy doll. She is 20 tall, hard plastic with jointed vinyl arms, no splits. She has lovely high coloring, red mouth, blue sleep eyes with hair upper lashes and painted under lashes. Her hair is in lovely curls with bangs, tosca color. Marked Alexander on the back of the head. She is wearing a fabulous original 1950′s gown of tangerine taffeta covered in net tulle with self ruffle trim and rhinestones straps. It has a full circle skirt. Comes with a cotton petticoat with tulle flounce and white panties. The clothing is all in excellent vintage condition, it is hand made, , much is hand sewn, not tagged but from the same era as the doll. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only. This is an original vintage Madame Alexander Cissy tagged navy blue taffeta cocktail dress with its hard-to-find original stole and hat from 1957. As seen on page 51 of The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw , this capped sleeve dress of navy blue taffeta is truly lovely. This tagged, little dress features a gathered bodice and a dropped waist. This cocktail ensemble is completed with a pleated organdy stole and a little gathered tulle confection of a hat. Both of these are original & are adorned with the signature Madame Alexander pink roses. Madame Alexander borrowed heavily from Christian Diors Spring 1956 Collection in Paris. At that time, Vogue Magazine reported that Dior presented a Cocktail Ensemble….. Silk taffeta, silk organza dress (see photos in the listing). This little cocktail ensemble a la Dior is in great condition. Along with the complete, original outfit you will receive a matching purse and a reproduction Cissy hang-tag. Your Cissy will be truly beautiful and ready for cocktails when she wears this charming outfit. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. 20 hard plastic bent knee, jointed vinyl arms. Wearing pink and white stripe tagged dress. Pink taffeta slip, nylons, pink plastic high heels, girdle. Presented here is a beautiful 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is 20 tall, hard plastic with bent knees and jointed vinyl arms, no splits, marked on the back of the head.. Lovely face with nice color, blue-green sleep eyes that open and close freely, think hair upper lashes, painted under lashes, double stroke brows, red mouth. Her hair is blonde, it may look reddish in some of the photos, it is a golden or honey blonde color, stitched part wig combed over to the side in front, lovely curls. The dress is adorable pink and white stripes with a fitted bodice. It buttons in the front and has two square snaps, elbow length puff sleeves with cuffs. Full circle skirt with nice body. The dress is tagged; Madame Alexander. Underneath is a pink taffeta slip with net ruffle and the cutest lace girdle, nylon stockings with seams. The shoes are generic pink plastic ones from the 50′s, one has a split on the side and repaired. The clothing is all in excellent vintage condition, minor age, no noticeable damage.
