Madame Alexander Dolls

Hi, Here is a vintage Cissy doll wearing a beautiful blue bridesmaid ensemble that was made for Cissy by Madame Alexander in around 1956. This Cissy doll has red hair with bangs, she has greenish sleep eyes with full lashes, and her ears are not pierced. Her brows have some touchup paint on them. Her gown is tagged and is made of blue tulle with a taffeta lining and closes in the back with square snaps. The bodice is a sheer net with silver metallic design over a taffeta under layer, it is decorated with rhinestones and there is a pearl row at the neckline. She also wears a added blue stone ring to match her dress color. The dress skirt is lined with taffeta, and she also has a separate crinoline petticoat and taffeta Cissy undies. Her stockings are newer ones made for Cissy, very nice, as are her blue shoes with rhinestone accents. She is not a perfect doll as her eye whites show some yellowing, her dress is not pristine, and there are a few age related marks on her, but I don’t see any cracks at her hips or knees. She is still a very sweet bridesmaid and matches with a Cissy bride that wears a similarly designed bridal gown. Please ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. Madame Alexander-kins tagged Wendy Doll Has Fun Wearing Black Taffeta Pinafore (c625). This is a lovely doll made by the Madame Alexander Doll Company in 1956. She is a bent knee walker and has a triple stitch tosca wig. She stands on her own and holds position. Her walker works great- and she is strung well. No problems with her body – cracks or stains, etc. She have perfect face coloring and appears to have never been played with. Her outfit is excellent and tagged. No moth holes, all snaps work. She wears a darling green oxide colored hat with original flowers. The elastic is still excellent. The dress is coral pink organdy and tagged. The pinafore has original matching flowers to the hat. She has a white star embroidered half slip and matching cotton panties. Her socks are nylon white with fuzzy sole side snap mary jane shoes. NO fading or damage to mention, she is what I would consider perfect and never displayed or played with. Her sleep eyes are perfectly working. She is an excellent doll. Her black pinafore sticks up a bit in the front. The box is numbered 577, and as I found her from a local estate, I do not know if the box is original but appears that she has never left it. She is priced 5.95 on the box and in pencil and someone wrote on her leg in pencil as well- 5.95.
