1960s Madame Alexander 20 HTF Renoir Cissy doll in original ensemble. In my Cissy book it says she is 1959 but when I researched her a little more on the Internet I believe she is from 1961. She is called the Renoir in Yellow. This is a portrait model Renoir Cissy from 1961. Sissy is 20 inches tall made of hard plastic with vinyl arms. She has a gorgeous brunette specially hairstyle blue sleep eyes with full lashes, vivid facial coloring with no flaws. The doll has not been seen in any catalogs but is believed to be for my missing back cover of a 1959 catalog. Her sleeveless dressed is unadorned and made of heavy slipper satin and also tagged Madam Alexander Cissy. Her matching jacket is trim with black sequin braid trim. She carries a black velvet purse which this is a Madame Alexander purse but not original to the Renoir outfit. Her outfit is not perfect. It has a few pin holes and a couple small stains. Also a very snags. Easily cover by how full her dress is. I also added a Madame Alexander portrait doll petticoat. Her shoes are awesome Madame Alexander Cissy shoes WithI believe her Original seam stockings. Braided low bun Renoir is what her wig is called. A spanner bar pulls her hair back tight and loose curls to make a low bun wrapped in a braid. She is a brunette. She has a show stopping Black velvet bonnet bedecked with colorful silk flowers and a velvet ribbon black net facial veil. And magnificent cameo necklace with matching earrings. This is a Gorgeous 1957 Madame Alexander Cissy Doll. She is 20 tall with a hard plastic body and vinyl sleeved arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She has Stunning matte finish face, crystal blue sleep eyes, with full lashes, very rosy cheeks, red lips and a golden blonde curly wig in the bob style. She has blush on her hands and knees. There are no splits, cracks or repairs. She is All Original and in Excellent Condition. The pictures are part of the description, so please enlarge and look closely. This is a hard to find Side partwig that was only made for one year 1957. Creamy infused complexion with high color blush eyeshadow and glossy rosy lips long beautiful full eyelashes. She is amazing, can stand on her own has no splits or cracks. I dont believe this doll was ever played with and maybe not displayed. Vintage 1956 Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part golden/ strawberry blonde wig, in original style. Tagged Medici wedding gown with hat. Rhinestone drop earrings, necklace and ring. Silver strappy high heels. Wedding hat with veil. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part golden/ strawberry blonde hair in the original style still in most of the lovely curls, has the original metal. Sparkling green sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with rhinestone drop earrings. A rhinestone necklace and has her sparkling rhinestone ring. There are a few light finish rubs in the joints and the neck under the head. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing her original tagged Medici wedding gown. The gown has a full skirt of ivory color taffeta covered in fine tulle, the bodice is fine lace with pleated tulle sleeves and a pink satin sash. The hat is fabulous, the base is mesh with twisted. Around the wired sides and a sweeping veil in the back. It is adorned with flocked flowers and wax orange blossoms, it still has the gold elastic chin strap. Of pink flowers with wax orange blossoms and wrapped in lace. Underneath she has adorable tulle hoop skirt petticoat and ivory taffeta panties. She is wearing her original stockings which have issues in the feet there are several holes and. With the original garter. The shoes are the old very. Silver strappy high heels with a rhinestones on the straps. The straps have stretched and the satin linings show age. The clothing is all in excellent. Condition, there are some very tiny holes on the edge of the taffeta skirt near the hem on one side and a very light pink rub on the tulle at the top edge of the hat, nothing noticeable. Stunning All Original Cissy wearing Tagged crisp and vivid dress of red polished cotton w/ white cuffs and 3 buttons on the front. White horsehair hat with dotted tulle that ties under her chin. And Cissy, oh my, she is as Near Mint as Near Mint can be. All Original with crystal blue eyes with full lashes, high color blush, rosy red lips, and perfect body with no cracks, splits or repairs. Beautiful brunette with crimped curls still in hair net, that frame her gorgeous infused face. This Gorgeous Girl is a Show Stopper. She also has faux pearl earrings and a faux diamond ring. This Madame Alexander Cissy doll has such a sweet face, but she does have some imperfections. The outfit she is wearing, however, makes up for some of her flaws. We’ll take the outfit first. The darling dress, created by an expert seamstress, is made of the same 1950s fabric that M. Alexander used for the pink and blue dresses for 14-inch and 17-inch Maggies except that the pattern is a silvery-grey. There is a picture included of my Maggie dress next to Cissy’s dress. This fabric had survived for all these years without being used. It is crisp, the pattern is still raised due to not having been washed, and the sheen is just beautiful. The dress features a sweetheart neckline with Val lace trim, tiny pearls to mimic buttons down the front, banded puff sleeves and full skirt. A rich red grosgrain ribbon is looped through two tiny MOP buckles on each side of the waist and ties into a pretty bow in the back. Four small square snaps for closure. Under the dress, Cissy wears a vintage factory slip of white taffeta with netting ruffle trimmed with red rickrack. Elastic is good in waist. Don’t know what doll this slip was original to, but it is not a Cissy slip. She wears white taffeta Cissy panties that have a light stain on front and have not been washed. Elastic is a little relaxed, but no problem staying up. She is wearing vintage seamed stockings that may be original Cissy, but not quite sure. They are in good condition–very slightly loose at the tops. Her high heels are the original red bases with red felt insole. They previously had red elastic, but I was not paying attention to see that the doll had slid slightly down in her stand and stretched the elastic out. It was replaced with white ankle-strap elastic and a vintage elastic with red trim over the toes. What a job that was! The hat is a Cissy hat and is original to the white organdy summer gown. The white horsehair trim around the edges had damage so was removed to make the hat useful for daytime dresses with red trim. The lilies are in very good condition, and I added a sprig of vintage flowers to cover the stems of the lilies. The sprig is just nestled to cover the stems and has no permanent attachment. They stay in place just fine unless the hat is moved around. The hatband is unstretched and is up in the crown. Cissy’s accessories include a vintage watch with red elastic band, a tiny pearl ring that is not vintage, a pearl necklace (not sure of vintage) and a cute red and white plastic cannister with a lid that opens to hold her necessities. I think this is a vintage item. The doll has no issues with her vinyl arms. She does have splits at the top of both legs and rubs at the inside of her legs at the top. There are no splits in the sheaths above her knees, and there is no crotch split. Her knees bend to sit. I did notice a small line proceeding from the knee “slit” on the right knee when in the sitting position. I can’t really feel a crack, but it is something I haven’t seen on a Cissy before. I don’t have room to add pictures of these things on the listing, but I do have pictures available and would be happy to supply them if you want to see. Stringing seems fine on the doll except that her head bobs when moved. Her head poses easily, but she probably has her original head band, and I know those can give way at any time. I see a little bit of blush remaining on her knees and her right hand, but her cheek color is gone. Her eyes are a green-blue, and they open and close like they should. She has all of her brush lashes and painted ones. Her eyebrows are light, but all there, and her lip color looks good to me. Her medium blonde wig is in its original set, but it does have some weakness. When she first came to me, I was going to do some work on her hair, but right away, a lock of her hair came loose (which I immediately put back with a hairpin and vowed to not touch her hair again, which I haven’t). I have included a picture of that. Even with her flaws, she is a pretty display Cissy–and with such a great outfit. She is from a non-smoking home and is being offered to USA BUYERS ONLY.
