Madame Alexander Dolls

Just in time for the holidays – An extremely rare, early 1950′s, Maggie Margot Ballerina by Madame Alexander. Original tagged and double layered pink tutu w/ gold accents, flowers, & matching satin slippers. She’s wearing a matching floral headpiece. Hair is tied up into her black net snood at her neck. Clear sleep eyes, working perfectly, with beautiful eyelashes. Pretty black ribbon tied around her neck into a bow. Original gold wrist-tag tied to her right wrist! Smoke free home, kept in a box which deteriorated. We believe this was the label that was on her box, but we may have mixed them up. If anyone knows, and can offer assistance, please contact me. I would be grateful. She has a couple tiny specks below her mouth and one on her right cheek. I’m too scared of damaging her to try and remove so I’ll leave that to your discretion. I’m not a doll expert, but other than the couple tiny specks she hasn’t any marks, chips, scuffs, cracks, fading, holes, tears, or anything that I can detect. The doll appears to have never been played with. I’d say she’s in excellent or near mint condition. Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Brunette wig with side swept bangs, curls. Tagged tulle party gown with hat. Rhinestone drop earrings, necklace. White strappy high heels. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Medium brunette hair, the hair has a frizzy texture, styled nicely in curls, held with hair pins and hair net, side swept bangs. Sparkling green sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with rhinestone drop earrings and wears a rhinestone necklace with clasp. There are a few light finish rubs in the joints and the neck under the head. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing her original tagged garden part gown. The gown has a full skirt of ivory color tulle, the tulle is over all excellent, a small tear on the side, there was a. Design in pink and green on the tulle which has mostly faded, it is sprinkled with small silk flowers and prong set rhinestones. The attached lining and underskirt is organdy. The dress is tagged Cissy, the label is faded but can be read on inspection. She wears a white muslin petticoat underneath with a wire hoop. The hat is fabulous, it is lavender with a woven wide brim, curved shape, covered with lilacs, flocked and velvet flowers, a tiny blue bird sits on the brim, comes with a hat pin. She has white lace panties and white plastic strappy high heel shoes. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. Wendy Looks Pretty For School. Very nice Madame Alexander-kins Wendy. Her outfit is Tagged and she is wearing a cotton pink dress with an eyelet pinafore that is removable and ties in the back. She has on a matching pink straw hat with flowers and her original anklets and black side snap fuzzy shoes. She has her very visible brows and eyelashes and pretty blushed cheeks. No nicks or missing coloring, her face is very pretty. She is 8 hard plastic, with bent knees. She has snaps back closure on her dress. Her stand is included so you can display her right away. This is an 18″ (including top of hair) Madame Alexander “NINA BALLERINA doll probably from 1948 but not sure. She wears her original pale pink tutu with gold rick-rack trim and on her underskirt and panties. Tutu is tagged as pictured. I do not notice any tears or stains in the tutu or underslip. Nor did I see any cracks in her body. Please note that there is a factory flaw with lip color as pictured. There is a small worn area at the back lower waist gold rick-rack as pictured. The elastic in the underslip with attached panties has relaxed over the years but still stays up. Her ballerina slippers and ribbons are showing their age. Nina’s hair is pretty much in original set. The floral trim on the tutu is worn and aged. Her tutu will need to be steamed and you may want to replace the floral trim and add some to her hair. Doll and clothing have no bad odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. She’ll make a wonderful playmate for your Patti PlayPal, Betsy, Linda & Sandy McCall and similar size dolls with her adorable looks and friendly features which include big round, working FLIRTY sleep eyes with original long, thick eyelashes, cute little “pug” nose, blushed cheeks and closed smiling mouth. 1959 on her neck, she has thickly rooted, shiny clean, long honey blonde, layered hair with straight bangs, (no hair cut and no missing plugs) swivel neck and joints at her shoulders and hips and wears an adorable vintage, pink nylon, layered party dress with lots of ruffles & bows, pink ruffled collar and sash. Original one-strap shoes and socks. Stands well, her joints work smoothly and she is in excellent, very clean condition with no cracks, no ink marks or stains, no repairs and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Her eyes “flirt” to both sides, she walks and her head turns correctly (although not always) as she walks. She is a very good quality and heavy doll with walker mechanism.
