Madame Alexander Dolls

This listing is for a 7 vinyl and hard plastic Madame Alexander baby Genius with original untagged outfit. Doll in in very good condition. She comes with a tin 4 piece set of nursery furniture made in the US by J. Plus an extra high chair which is missing the tray. All pieces are in very good condition with bright colors and a few minor dents or scratches. Still makes a nice display set for the doll. It is less chunky than the typical Strombecker furniture made for “Ginnette”. It is sized better for the smaller 7 doll. The crib is 8 3/4″ long and 6″ high. The set is all metal with printed designs similar construction as the metal doll houses of the same time period.

The doll is made of high-quality vinyl material and embodies the charm and elegance of the mid-20th century. In her original box.

Her dress has stains & the gold vest is unraveling. Her joints need to be tightened- her head is floppy. Not poseable until tightened. Snow White 14 Original Dress & Label.

Because she is a straight leg walker, her head moves from side to side when her legs move. Eyes open and close property. Her hair which is a wig appears to still be in it’s original set. She can even hold a pose when she is completely dressed. Her Dress has a couple of small brown spots that could probably be removed with treatment and sunshine. These are not very obvious because of the folds in her dress can cover them. Her panties have new elastic thread in the waist. Her clothes consists of tagged dress, half slip, thigh high socks, panties with repaired elastic in the waist, and plastic shoes that fasten on the sides with a knob fastener. She is in good condition, but may need some cleaning. She has a brownish color wig (still has bobby pins where the previous owner redid her hair style), sleep blue eyes, hair lashes (all present), rosy cheeks, red mouth. She is all hard plastic with joints at her elbows and wrists and at her knees. She is wearing a tagged purple coat, purple velvet purple hat, tagged pinkish dress, matching panties, net slip, knee high hosery, velvet center snap purple shoes. When you move her legs, her head moves. I don’t see any cracks, but she does have a few small scratches. She does have a very light odor. Not for the mint collector. I try to make sure my items do not have loud offensive odors, but your nose may be more sensitive than mine. This is a Madame Alexander Little Genius from 1950′s with her original outfit, super cute and, overall, in wonderful condition. Her eyes open and close beautifully, she has an open mouth, her coloring is good and she is blond, with short hair. Her head is hard plastic (and she has a “scar” over her right eyebrow that goes down almost to her eye). The rest of her is all vinyl, and she has no markings that I could find. Super clean, with no stains, vinyl darkening, marks, etc. She is dressed in a very thin delicate linen underdress, cotton (cloth diaper style) panties and over that a beautiful cotton white dress with tiny blue with green flowers and lace ruffles finishing the short sleeves, bottom edge and collar. She has a bonnet in the same fabric as her dress, it ties under her neck and also with lace ruffle. On top of all that, she brings her pink silk/satin overcoat, which is tagged. 1950s 18 INCH MADAME ALEXANDER MARGARET DOLL. No cracks, no breaks and no odors. She has full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She is strung tight at the neck, shoulders and hips. Dress is a tagged vintage Madame Alexander dress. It says Winnie Walker on tag. Dress has been repaired on a couple of seams. There are a couple of small stains on Dress. Doll has light rub marks around her joints Her wig is nice and is held up in a bun. She is wearing slippers and nylons and an under skirt. No odors, non smoking home. Vintage 1950′s hard plastic 17 Alice in Wonderland doll with original blue and white fine checkered dress and white pinafore. She is unmarked and the dress is not tagged. She is a Madame Alexander with Margarete face. I have found similar variations of this dress and pinafore but not exactly the same. She is in “good” pre-owned condition. Her hair has been trimmed at one time. Undies, shoe and socks are replacements. Dress and pinafore are original. I have not washed or ironed her clothes.
