Madame Alexander Dolls

Presented here today is the amazing early Madame Alexander Cissy doll in a new winter outfit. The doll is in beautiful condition. She has one little flaw where the paint had split a bit under her right ear. It is not split through the plastic, but only the paint. I added a little new paint inside the paint split. It is not seen unless the hair is pulled back. This doll was never played with and I don’t believe she was displayed, or if she was she was well protected from dust and sunlight. She has no odors, stains, or chews. She has no cracks or splits or repair of such. She has vibrant red hair still in its stiff, original set. The curls have never been combed out. She has lovely blue clear eyes and original lashes. She has had no spa treatment and no repaint of any kind. I added just a hint of pastel dry paint to her cheeks. Many of the early Cissys did not have blush at all originally. She has lovely “skin” with no scratches or nicks. She has just a minimal amount of inner thigh rub and neck rub. She has been restrung to her head and arms. She has been cleaned gently on the inside and outside. Her arms match very well and have no nicks on the inside of the socket. Her hips are tight as are her knees. She does not have earring holes. She is marked on the back of her head “Alexander”. Cissy is dressed for a day on the town. The weather is getting a bit cooler, so she is ready for what may come. Her coat and dress are made from boiled 100% wool and is a pretty purple color. Both dress and coat are lined with a light weight lavender taffeta. The coat has a wide faux fur collar and fur around the cuffs of the coat. The coat closes with 2 snaps. Her dress is a simple straight line dress. It closes in back with snaps. Also part of her ensemble is a matching fur pill box style hat and a purse to match her ensemble. She is wearing a pair of Cissy panties, vintage nylons, new pearl necklace and bracelet and newer black strap shoes. Oh, and the ring… Do not forget the ring! This beautiful Cissy Doll Rhinestone Side Drape Blue Gown is a stunning evening gown with rhinestone accents. Reproduced in the likeness of the original, this gown is created in crisp taffeta and fully lined in cotton organdy. The gown features a long form-fitting bodice attached to a full trained skirt topped with a long side draped sash. Cissy looks ready for the red carpet in this rhinestone draped dress. The dress has been created by RubieMae of Forget Me Not Dolls. This gown originally came in many colors in 1956 and is so reminiscent of this golden age of couture fashion. The dress, pictured in The Cissy Files book on page 33, came in many different colors. Although the dress is pictured with the slip underneath the gown, it IS NOT INCLUDED. The hooped half slip adds volume to the gown and is a little longer in the back to accommodate the train on the dress. The off-white taffeta slip has an elastic waist that closes with two square snaps in the back, and a deep crinoline ruffle along the lower edge. I have decided to downsize my doll collection a bit so I will be offering up many dolls over the next few days! A few points of info… My dolls are from a smoke and pet free environment. All have been on display in my doll room. None of my dolls are mint as I simply bought what appealed to me! I will do my best to answer any questions so please feel free to ask! This listing features a beautiful blonde Cissy doll to dress. Doll has lovely face coloring and pretty eyes. I believe she has been reblushed, I do see a slight cheek rub on her right cheek upon close inspection. Don’t detect any odor issues. Her wig is very pretty and those bangs are gorgeous! One inner knee has a small split and both hips have splits as seen. None of these detract from her standing ability. Body might have slight scuffs or marks but nothing that stands out! This beautiful Madame Alexander 8 doll is a Wendy Dressed for the Maypole Dance or Wendy Dances Around the Maypole. She is a hard-plastic straight leg walker doll from 1955 and the outfit is numbered 458. Wendy is dressed in a very light blue taffeta dress with a tiny lace trimmed organdy yolk and lace frills sewn under the hemline. A perfect coronet of rosettes on her head gives this outfit a festive flare. Wendy wears a cotton slip and matching pantaloons. Her terrific shoes have fuzzy bottoms. What a lovely doll! For your vintage 20 Madame Alexander Cissy doll is this very nice auburn or red haired short chignon wig. It has been cleaned and restyled. New ties at the side and a new spanner bar. The wig cap is intact. The wig is not cut, nor is it bald in any areas. It may need a little further restyling at the turn under in the back, as it is hard to get it perfect until it is on a doll.
