Madame Alexander Dolls

I try to note everything – all positives and negatives – so you can make an informed purchasing decision. I know you cannot examine her for yourself, and while I do not claim to be an expert, I will carefully note everything to the best of my knowledge and ability. Wig – her wig looks just fine, just needs some combing and possible resetting. Head – its split at the seam on one side all the way up, and there is a split starting at the bottom of the other side of her head at the seam. Eyes – clear, open and shut, full lashes, look slightly off, one eye is droopy. Hips – one hip has a repaired seam split. Cheeks – cheek rubs. Backs of hands – color is rubbed. Body – coloring is even all over. Knees – blushed evenly. This is a TLC doll, and I have tried to note what you want and need to know about her. 1953 Strung 8 Brunette Alexander-Kin Bridesmaid High Color! She is so pretty! This doll is as-found wearing a near mint 1953 Bridesmaid dress but no hat or bouquet. She has blue eyes that open and close easily, full brows brows and a pouty mouth. She has wonderful rosy cheeks with no rubs. She has been re-strung and her body is clean with no stains, splits or repairs. The dress is tagged and she wears her correct long pantalets and a long Alexander-Kin half slip. I noticed that the lace is different on the slip and undies. Her shoes are very scuffed with fuzzy soles and sturdy snaps topped with correct rayon socks. If you are looking for a beautiful 1953 doll she is a stand out. No odors and from a non-smoking home. Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Brunette wig, in original style. Professionally made gold brocade “Jackie O” dress with jacket. Satin hat and muff. Vintage plastic Samsonite suitcase. Rhinestone earrings and necklace. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has brunette hair in the original style with lovely curls. Sparkling blue sleep eyes that open and close with hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with rhinestone drop earrings and a. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing a vintage professionally handmade outfit. Of a strapless gold brocade dress, zipper in the back, and a matching jacket with satin lining. She has a satin tam hat draped with cascades of golden silk flowers and a matching muff. Cissy carries a vintage 1950′s. Suitcase with travel stickers, it opens and closes. The shoes are off-white. High heels, lace panties. The clothing is all in excellent condition, exceptionally well made, lined and finished. The listing is for the doll and clothes shown only, no stand. Vintage Cissy by Madame Alexander Mid- 1950′s with Dark Brunette hair and curly bangs and green eyes! Really clean nice body, knees bend. One crack on seam on top of leg (see photo). Hard plastic body, legs and Head with vinyl arms. Eyes Open and Close. No missing paint on face. A few scratch marks on one lid. All fingers and toes accounted for, no chew marks. Fingers could use a little cleaning. Rich Dark Brunette Hair Color with curled bangs. One teensy eensy crack under chin, I almost missed it(see photo). Please look at photos as they are part of the description. She just came out of a closet from the original owner, no Smoke or other odors. This Cissy is all original, and she has not been altered or re-touched in any way. She is very close to mint except for missing shoes and her necklace is caught under her neck. I dare not try to recover it in fear of breaking the stringing. Her sweeping gown is lace print over heavy faille. Her cape is orlon Ermin and satin lined. She has a velvet sash with a flower corsage. Matching original ribbon in her hair. Pale blue paper taffeta and tulle slip. Her panties are trimmed with val lace. Seamed hose, finger-less gloves and rhinestone bracelet necklace, and earrings. Her face is lovely with light pink cheeks, perfect eye lashes, clear blue eyes and the original mat finish. She has a few fly away hairs from lying stored on her back. I will be adding a picture of her slip/panties. I added a professional picture of another doll. It is the last photo. 20 Cissy Doll 1950′s (Doll Only). Brunette With Blue Eyes. She is in lovely condition. There is a separation beginning on top of right leg inside hip joint. She has a few minor nicks or scratches but overall beautiful condition. She has been restrung with new bands, otherwise all original gorgeous face, pretty clear blue eyes with all her lashes and original stiff set brunette wig. Very clean and no odors. This vintage Cissy doll is a very pretty girl, with her lovely brunette hair in its original set, full-lashed eyes, original red lips, and professionally-refreshed makeup. She is tight enough to hold a pose. She is odor free and clean. She has had her arms restrung, and two small high leg splits repaired and repainted. She has some marks on one arm, some rubs where her thighs meet the torso, not unusual in these painted dolls, some paint rubbed off her heels. There are a few small scratches on her bum and upper back. I only noticed when taking these pictures that she has a small rub on one cheek. You can see it in the close-up of the left cheek, but it isnt noticeable when the doll is on display or from a normal, arms- length distance. Her blue-green eyes open and close, but she prefers to be sleepy and she may need a shake to open her eyes fully. She stands well and sits well, her legs are nice and tight as are her knees. She will come in her stretchy chemise. The other items pictured as props are not included, such as the doll furniture, backdrops, etc. The sale is for the doll, only! She comes from a smoke -free home, but we do have cats (who have no interest in dolls whatsoever). I dont know her history before I bought her. Vintage 1963 Madame Alexander Cissette 10 fashion doll – Pink Ballerina #735. She is a gorgeous doll, which appears to have been minimally handled. Air is full and in original style; sleepy eyes work well. Full original outfit including pink tagged costume, stockings, flower head piece, rhinestone earrings, and one ballet slipper. Hang tag in place to wrist. She is missing one shoe, and the elastic to the other shoe is no longer stretchy. Her flower head piece also has elastic that is stretched out. There is a hole in the stocking of one knee. This item is currently being stored in my smoke free home.
