She is 8tall, made of hard plastic and is fully strung from 1953. She has a triple stitch blonde wig in the original braid style, green eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. There is a tiny flaw on her left cheek and her stringing is a little loose. She is ready for you to dress. She has Vivid facial coloring and gorgeous blonde hair, and is All Original. For your consideration: Madame Alexander’s Cissy, fashion doll of the 1950′s. Cissy was the epitome of doll Haute Couture. Of all the MD creations, Cissy has remained, since the 50′s, the doll most treasured, the most loved, and the most sought after. This lovely Cissy is in excellent condition, there are no splits or cracks in the plastic. She is really in exceptional condition, very beautiful. Her eyes open and close easily. There is no lovelier face created for a doll. Please note: upon inspecting enlarged photos of Cissy, it appears that there was a freshening of her original painted lashes (in photos you see the new painted lashes over the faded old ones). This is how the doll came to me, she looks wonderful, and if this is a redo, then it is well done. This blonde Cissy will come to you dressed in a superb tagged corselet in pale pink with lace trims, and full zippered back, nylon hose, pink heeled sandals with lilac linings. Here for your consideration is a doll called Margot Ballerina although I’ve also seen her referred to as Trina Ballerina. She was produced by the Madame Alexander doll company in the 1950′s. This ballerina has the Maggie face known for her big round eyes and sweet innocent expression. Margot/Trina stands 18 tall. She is a hard plastic doll with a swivel head and is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She is a strung doll and her stringing is nice and tight. Her body is in excellent vintage condition. Her face paint is lovely, with delicately painted brows and lower lashes. She has big blue eyes with full brush lashes, none missing, and her sleep eyes function as they should. She has red lips and lightly blushed cheeks. The floss wig on this doll is just about perfect. Hardly a hair out of place. Her hair is styled in a chignon and held in place with the original black net snood. My best guess is that the hair piece is not original but I’m not positive. The tulle tutu skirt is a deep red with a few white flowers scattered about. Fortunately it is two layers and is very full because there are several areas of shredding and/or holes. It is very fragile. That being said, the deterioration is not very evident when the doll is on display because of the natural folds in the skirt. The bodice is lighter than the skirt with some areas of discoloration. The tag is no longer present. The ballet shoes are also in excellent vintage condition. Nice bright color, and little, if any, wear. There are no odors. Please ask any questions you may have in case I missed something important to you. Thank you for your interest! This a beautiful vintage Binnie Walker for your collection. She is 23 tall. She is wearing her tagged Binnie Walker outfit. It has no stains, but the sleeves on the jacket and the hat have dust marks and it needs to be washed. The seam at the shoulders is also pulled as shown. The rest of the outfit and the doll are near mint condition. She has no stains, cracks or odors. Hair is in the original set and is full. She has fantastic color through out with nice rosy cheeks and knees. Nice clear eyes with all lashes. The lady never played with her dolls. I will say that her head is loose, I did restring it as it was off, but it just does not have that original factory rubber band. Her knees are also a bit loose. They don’t want to stay standing up. Lastly, the eyes only sleep with assistance. The box is okay. It is missing a lot of the side pieces on the lid and the bottom has wear. It is marked Binnie so it is the correct box. 1949 Madame Alexander 20 In Fairy Queen. Doll: 20 in Margaret face doll. Doll is solid with no cracks at mold seams. Arms hold a pose. Beautiful face with working blue/green sleep eyes.
