She is from the late 1950′s and is in mint condition. She has shiny brunette hair in perfect condition, beautiful face paint with very high color cheeks. Her body is quite perfect and her joints and knees work very well. She has the slightest bit of pink blushing on her bum from her red panties but it’s very, very slight and I thought is was factory blushing at first glance. Her dress is perfect and tagged and she doesn’t have her hoop petticoat on at the moment and it needs a bit of steam but it’s in perfect shape. Her hose are great, one small hole in the toe and her black shoe elastic is still quite good. She has no odors and has been packed away in a heated closet in a no smoking environment. Doesn’t your vintage CISSY doll deserve a gorgeous ROSE PINK TAFFETA FORMAL GOWN for her special holiday GIFT… She will love it! NOTE: Doll and jewelry not included… Gown is NOT mint nor perfect but in very nice vintage condition. This Cissy gown is #2036 from 1956 and it may be the RARE long torso gown of ROSE taffeta. The lighting may show different color tones in the iridescent taffeta but gown is not faded or dusty. A cummerbund waist cascades down to form a side drapery caught up by a rhinestone jeweled pin. The puffed taffeta shoulder straps are also adorned with rhinestone pins. Her gown is in very good vintage condition but the back bodice does not appear to be perfect. The fourth snap that is attached to the thick drape material at back waist appears to be reinforced with additional pink thread. I looked at a couple of similar gowns in different colors and the shoulder straps were attached differently. I checked with a well-known Cissy collector who has this particular Rose Taffeta Cissy Gown and she sent me pictures of the back shoulder straps and lining. Her gown and my gown both have finished bodice with tag sewn in between the taffeta and organdy. Her shoulder straps were stitched on the inside finished bodice and not on the outside taffeta like mine. However, it would be an easy fix to remove stitching and stitch straps back on the inside of the finished back bodice. If we find out anything different, I will post it. I don’t notice any particular tears, pulls or stains in the gown and it is tagged “CISSY” and has not been laundered and is also lined with organdy which looks aged in color. Organdy slip with under slip in picture is also included with this rose gown. NOTE: I do not see any noticeable tears, pulls, or rips in the fabric at the back where the snaps are located. P lease zoom up pic s of the back bodice and snap areas for condition details. Doll clothing is in very nice vintage condition except for noted flaws above and has no offensive odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. This is a Gorgeous red 3/4 length gown of pleated brocade with matching wrap and flower at the waist. The wrap is sewn on at waist with a visible square snap. It comes with the original unique slip with taffeta at upper waist, small hoop, and a layer of netting at the bottom. In the book, ” The Cissy Files”. By Kiley Shaw, this gown is listed as Hard to Find and from 1956, however this gown came with the FAO Schwarz Royal Tour Trousseau Trunk Set from 1960 which was a One Owner Set. This outfit is also pictured in this month’s UFDC Doll News magazine. It is in Pristine Condition, Vivid Color, Clean, Crisp with a crisp tag. I doubt it was ever played with. Hi, Here is a vintage Cissy doll wearing a beautiful blue bridesmaid ensemble that was made for Cissy by Madame Alexander in around 1956. This Cissy doll has red hair with bangs, she has greenish sleep eyes with full lashes, and her ears are not pierced. Her brows have some touchup paint on them. Her gown is tagged and is made of blue tulle with a taffeta lining and closes in the back with square snaps. The bodice is a sheer net with silver metallic design over a taffeta under layer, it is decorated with rhinestones and there is a pearl row at the neckline. She also wears a added blue stone ring to match her dress color. The dress skirt is lined with taffeta, and she also has a separate crinoline petticoat and taffeta Cissy undies. Her stockings are newer ones made for Cissy, very nice, as are her blue shoes with rhinestone accents. She is not a perfect doll as her eye whites show some yellowing, her dress is not pristine, and there are a few age related marks on her, but I don’t see any cracks at her hips or knees. She is still a very sweet bridesmaid and matches with a Cissy bride that wears a similarly designed bridal gown. Please ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. This beauitful all original 1958 Cissette Madame Alexander doll is just wonderful. She can be found on page 190 of the book, “Madame Alexander Collectors Dolls” by Patricia R. She is in very good condition. She stands 9 inches tall. She has open and close sleep eyes in perfect working condition. Her eyes are nice and bright as is her facial coloring. She is wearing her all original evening gown, panties, shoes, jewelry and nylons. All her clothing and accessories are in wonderful condition and her dress and under slip are tagged. She is marked on her back as well. This doll is for the serious Madame Alexander collector a she is a very rare and sought after vintage Cissette and this one is in especially good condition which is very hard to find. Here for your consideration is the Madame Alexander opera gown introduced in 1957. It is in beautiful condition with only very minor issues noted below. Also included is the powder blue taffeta slip. The gown is a lace print on heavy faille. It is sleeveless with a plunging “v” neckline and a very full skirt. Yards of fabric must have been used to construct these gowns. Hard to imagine that being repeated in today’s economy. Anyway, the gown has an attached blue velvet sash accented with pink and blue roses. In the back, the gown closes with four snaps. The “Cissy” tag is sewn into a seam on the inside. I have to be very picky here to find fault with this garment. The sash may be faded a bit but it’s hard to tell without seeing a “new” one to compare it to. One half of the lowest snap is coming loose. Also, there is a faint pink mark near the third snap. That’s pretty much it. It’s a lovely garment! The light blue taffeta slip has a gathered tulle ruffle around the bottom. It has not fared quite as well as the gown. The elastic has stretched out at the waist and there are places where the taffeta has pulled away from the elastic. There are a few faint spots on the slip but I could not get them to show up in the photo. Please ask any questions you may have in case I missed something important to you. Hi, Here is a vintage Cissy doll wearing a beautiful and original bridal ensemble that was made for Cissy by Madame Alexander. This Cissy has auburn hair in the original style I believe, in the updo with a lower chignon in back. Her eyes are green sleep eyes with black lashes. Over the undies she has her beautiful tagged bridal gown, which has one tear up the back of the outer tulle layer hand mended, her original crinoline half slip, her original veil which has a coronet of flowers and a layer of tulle, also her bouquet which is a replacement. Her dress closes in back with all of the original snaps except for one side of the top snap. The outfit is very beautiful, it is clean and has no odors. I have added an extra tulle petticoat to help her dress flare nicely, and a pair of long gloves, both are home made. Cissy’s “pearl” earrings and necklace, her “diamond” ring and bracelet are newer additions. Please ask me any questions you may have, I will be happy to answer. Here for your consideration is the Madame Alexander lovely red taffeta and rhinestone side drape gown from 1956. Also included is a hoop slip, red gloves and a floral hair decoration. The off the shoulder gown has a fitted bodice, dropped waist and a very full skirt. There is an attached taffeta “drape” trimmed in six rhinestones, and a slight train in the back. In my opinion the condition of the gown is excellent. I do not see any damage, repairs or stains. The Cissy tag is sewn into a seam on the back of the right shoulder. All snaps are present with original stitching. All rhinestones are secure. There are only a few wrinkles here and there. The gown is fully lined in red organdy. The cream colored hoop slip has a wide ruffle of tulle and holds the gown out nicely though it is slightly misshapen as often happens with these hoops. The ruffle is slightly pink. The slip closes with two snaps in the back. One side of one snap is missing some stitches. Also included are a pair of vintage red gloves (not sure whether or not these are Madame Alexander). The included hair decoration of red roses and green leaves will give your doll the look of the Cissy on the cover of Doll News. A very pretty ensemble! This beautiful 1953 Madame Alexander doll is Binnie Walker. She was stored away and never played with. She is pre-Cissy, but has the same face as Cissy. She has no flaws, and has beautiful facial coloring, her blue eyes open and close freely, and she has thick lashes, with none missing. Her walking mechanism is in excellent condition. Her original gown is wonderful. It is violet in color and made of satin and layers of netting, with sprigs of old flocked flowers. Her straw hat is trimmed with velvet ribbon and flowers, and she carries a wonderful beaded bag. She also has on her panties, nylons, flocked shoes, a pearl necklace and bracelet.
