Madame Alexander Dolls

This doll just so pretty and her coloring is fantastic. She has dark brown hair that is tight to her head and has the original flowers sewed in place. The flowers are in good condition and are a lovely blue color. Her facial coloring is all original and she is highly blushed. Her overall coloring is also very good and she has no issues to her body. Her blue tutu has faded with age as so many of them do. It is more of a lavender blue color now but it has no holes, stains, or odors. The netting is also in good condition with no issues that I have found. Under her tutu she wears a pair of matching bloomers that are in good condition. The elastic is not as tight as it once was but they stay up with no issues. She is still wearing her factory tied shoes and I don’t believe they have ever been off of her. This group includes a darling 1954-55 Guardian Angel, the dress and hat for Day in the Country #350, “Mambo”, Ballerina outfit with the correct head piece and two wedding dresses. The angel doll is in good condition, she has lovely all original coloring and beautiful brown hair. She is a really pretty doll but does have two flaws. She has a little color loss in one small area on her right cheek and she has a seam separation in between her legs. The seam separation does not hinder her walking or standing but it is there so I wanted to mention it. Her outfit is in very good condition with no stains, holes, tears or odors. Her wings are so darling and are a pretty pink and her plastic halo is in good condition with nice stretch to the elastic. Under her gown she has on a long slip, bloomers and foil shoes all of which are in good condition with no issues. The day in the country dress is beautiful with vibrant colors and no issues. The hat is in good condition and the flowers are beautiful but on one side where the flowers are stapled in it is a little weak. The ballerina outfit is very pretty with no issues besides the ribbon ties showing some wear. The headpiece is still in good shape with one small break to the plastic but it does not hurt the integrity of the piece and it still fits nicely on the head. The mambo dress is in good condition with really vibrant colors in the skirt and a beautiful pink shawl. The only issue is that the fuzz on the bodice has worn off, but it is covered by the shawl and does not distract in the least. Lastly the two brides dresses are in fair to good condition and could look great with a little restoration. All together this is a nice lot and beautiful doll that is sure to please. This doll is one of the prettiest Alexander Kins I have seen. She is an obviously unplayed with doll who has spent her life in the box. The dolls color is fantastic. She has a nice matte finish, highly blushed cheeks, wonderful all over complexion and dark pupiless eyes. Her hair is shiny, tight to her head and in a special style adorned with a spray of beautiful flowers. Her dress is still very white and has swiss dots all over it and around the waist is a blue bow that is still factory tied and beautiful. The dress is free of any stains, tears, holes or odors. Under her dress she has a organdy long slip with tight stretch elastic. Her bloomers are also perfect with tight elastic and no issues. She wears blue fuzzy bottom shoes that show no wear. The only thing missing is her diploma which must have gotten lost at some point through the years. The box is in good condition and just shows just normal wear from age. It is correctly labeled 399 and comes with her booklet and neck brace. All together this is a truly fantastic doll that will be a star in your collection! The doll has a lovely tosca hairstyle with side bunches. The elastic bands had deteriorated with age so I replaced them and now her hair is nice and secure. Her overall coloring is very pretty and her all original facial coloring is lightly blushed. She comes wearing her correct dress with blue flowered apron. Her dress is free of stains, holes, tears or odors. The pink taffeta skirt has not faded and is a nice pink color. The top portion of the dress is an ivory/white organdy that does show a little age at the top of the sleeves. Over the dress she wears her black bodice that still maintains its original black suede. Her blue apron is very clean and the colors are very vibrant, it has no stains, tears, holes or odors. Wendy wears a bonnet that matches her apron and it is also in great condition with nice vibrant colors. Under her dress she wears a light pink long slip and pantaloons both of which have nice stretch and are in good condition. Lastly she wears a really nice pair of black fuzzy bottom side snap shoes in very good condition. The box is original and correct but it is in poor condition as you can see in the pictures. 6 of the dolls are SLW and 1 is a BKW all are in good but not mint condition. I will try my best to explain each doll and any issues I see. Red Haired SLW with good color but her arms and legs seem a little darker then the rest of her body and her hair need styling. Red Haired SLW is really pretty with great color and she would have been good enough to sell on her own but her head spins all the way around. I have never seen this before and she displays beautifully but she does have the head issue. Besides that she is a great doll. Tosca SLW with some color to her cheeks but not as bright as some. Tosca SLW with high cheek color that has been professionally redone. Blonde 1955 SLW with some color to her cheeks but not as bright as some. Brunette BKW who is very pretty and would have been a good doll to sell alone had it not been for the red staining on her torso. This of course would be covered by a dress but is there none the less. All together this is a really nice lot of earlier Alexander Kins that will look great redressed if you don’t mind some slight imperfections.
