This is a very sweet Madame Alexander kin Wendy Kin difficult to find ORIGINAL early organdy MAYPOLE OUTFIT ONLY (no doll) that includes the dress, apron and added underpants, with more current black smooth bottom shoes and socks. The outfit has faded to a light pink dress with light blue apron but is in crisp and clean condition. There is one tiny pinhole on apron (see photo 8), rubs and paint rubs on apron metal grommets (photo 9), and a tiny edge tear on dress left side (photo 10). The pink ribbon was added to close the apron on waist. The added underpants are also in nice, clean condition with waist line relaxed a little bit. The added more current black velvet side snap smooth bottom shoes and socks are in good condition with some rubs on shoes. As you can see on one of our own dolls, it’s quite a stunning outfit! This sale is for an OUTFIT ONLY that includes a really difficult to find Madame Alexander Wendy Kin Doll Blue Dress with Blue Floral Pinafore that goes over dress. The dress has had its tag removed (remnants of it are seen on back top collar area) and closes in the back with two sets of signature square snaps. Dress is in nice, clean condition and may be just a touch lighter than it originally was. The beautiful blue floral pinafore is also in nice, clean condition with a little bit of fraying on ends to ties, a touch at one end seam, and a little bit of fabric starting to pull through one grommet (see photo 10). We also believe it may also be a touch lighter than it originally was but both pieces have even shading all over, so we aren’t totally sure. Do note that our camera does seem to make it seem a little darker than it is. As you can see on one of our own Kin dolls, it is really stunning on a Madame Alexander Wendy Kin doll which is why it is always difficult to find. This is a pre-owned 8 vintage Madame Alexander-Kins Majorette doll #482 Wendy Ann produced in the year 1955 only. She is considered very hard to find. This Wendy Ann is in very good vintage condition with only a few minor issues. Her string on her hat broke on one side only, just as I took it off for the pictures! Apart from that the hat is in very good condition & only slightly age yellowed. Her hair is a little mussy but remains in its original style, and appears to have a stitch that has come loose from her triple stitched wig. Her hair has not been cut. The elastic on the pink cumberbund waist band has stretched out & is being held tight with a paper clip. Her sleep blue eyes are sharp & clear & open & close with ease and all face paint is still present. Her face has nice coloring on her cheeks with no rubs. The boots are original & have the soft fuzzy bottoms. The gold elastic front bow only, not the gold trim, may have been replaced by a previous owner. Her tagged alexander-kins majorette dress & matching under wear has no holes, no tears & no spots. The white on the dress has age yellowed slightly. Her stringing remains good & she can stand easily on her own. I detect no odors. Lovely and rare (1966 only) Madame Alexander doll Coco, approximately 20 tall. She is dressed as Melanie from Gone with the Wind, wearing the rarer green version of Melanies gown. The gown is more often found in blue. The gown is light green taffeta embellished with green velvet bows on the bodice and ecru lace on the bodice, long sleeves, and skirt. The skirt is very full and has vertical pleats in front. Under her dress she wears a full, multi-layer taffeta crinoline, panties, thigh-length stockings, and green velvet shoes. Her clothing is all original with no stains, holes, or tears. Jewelry includes her cameo necklace and a diamond ring on her left hand. Coco was named for the fashion designer Coco Chanel. Cocos face and body are unique among Madame Alexander dolls, made only in 1966. She has one of Alexanders loveliest faces, with sleep eyes that sometimes look blue and sometimes green, real upper eyelashes, individually stroked lower eyelashes that extend around the corner and above her eyes, multi-stroke eyebrows, a closed mouth with peachy-pink slightly smiling lips, and rosy cheeks. Her elegant golden blond rooted hair is in its original set with fringe bangs, lots of curls, and a thick braid from the right side across the top of her head. Her hair is decorated with palest pink cloth roses. Hair pins and hairnet are still in place. Cocos body is jointed at neck, shoulders, and swivel waist. Her lower torso and legs are molded in one piece so her legs do not move. She stands in a fashion model pose, with right leg slightly bent and left leg straight. Upper torso and lower torso/legs are made of plastic, head and arms are made of vinyl. Her fingernails are painted the same peachy-pink color of her lips. Coco as Melanie is a near mint doll. The elastic in her sleeves is stretched out and the elastic is not tight in the waist of her crinoline. Otherwise her clothing seems excellent. Her stringing is good and she can hold a pose, but her head does tend to lose its pose when she is moved. I removed her gown and crinoline to check her condition. I think her panties, hose, and shoes may never have been removed. As you can see in one of the photos, there are 3 tears in the plastic of her back. Otherwise, the doll and her costume seem flawless.
