Madame Alexander Dolls

Up for your consideration is this extraordinary Cissy doll from 1958. She is affectionately called The Lady in Red She is absolutely stunning and has a bright beautiful color to her face however, she is not for the mint collector. She has gorgeous blue green eyes with all of her lashes. No cracks of any kind! I love her anyway as she just melted my heart. These dolls are so hard to come by and I hate to part with her but I have to downsize my collection! Her hair was also a mess and I believe that it has been restored beautifully! Her curls are held in place with Bobby pins as her wig was in fragile condition before her restoration. The red velvet bow had just disintegrated into her hair so she has a simple red bow in her hair now. She comes with replaced Swarovski pearl earrings and necklace. She Has a huge white slip under her gown which is had some red from her dress fade onto it making it look pink. The slip has stretched elastic as do her panties. Her nylons have A couple small blemishes on them and shes wearing replaced vintage silver shoes. I have never tried to do anything with the dress I believe it will clean up beautifully however, I will leave that up to the new owner. There are also a couple of other spots on the ballgown. She is so very gorgeous and is always the centerpiece of any collection! She will always put a smile on your face! She is extremely well adjusted and a very uplifting doll. She displays amazingly during the holidays and Valentines Day its almost like she glows! Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description. Wicked Witch of the West. The 2000 Wizard of Oz Collection. Limited Edition of 500. A stunning 21 inches tall with curly black hair and green eyes. And, of course, green skin! Very Unique Face — not the standard Madame Alexander mold. This is a beautiful witch, all green, dressed from head to toe in black, in a very fine damask-like corset dress. Wrapped in a velvet cape with a matching velvet witch’s hat and a velvet over-the-shoulder purse. She wears black and green striped stockings and high-heeled black boots. The doll has movable waist and hip joints (they feel a little loose). The doll is in very good displayed condition. There are no rips, tears or stains, but the elastic in the clothing is loose. The doll comes from a smoke free house and has been displayed in a temperature controlled doll-room. I have been her only owner. No box or papers, but I will pack her carefully. This is a 1959 Blue Mandarin Jacket and Ribbon Skirt Set for the vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. The skirt is made from thick satin with ribbons of color and woven gold threads. The jacket is blue and is lined in organdy and features a unique mandarin collar. The jacket is trimmed at the wrists and center front bodice with embroidered ribbon. The jacket color is bright blue and the ribbon skirt appears to be slightly faded in front but brighter in back. The skirt has a couple of small stain spots that I tried to show in the photos. They are small and hard to see unless you know where to look. These things are reflected in the listing price. The skirt is tagged Cissy in center back seam. I have shown large photos so please look at all of them since they are considered part of the description. I usually respond within a short time. This is a MADAME ALEXANDER ” Annabelle” using the Maggie face. She is from 1953 and is 17 inches tall. Her blonde hair is in its original set with the original ribbon. Her dress and sweater are in wonderful condition. No holes or stains to report. Shoes and socks are great and original too. Her stringing is good. Her face has lovely even coloring with some cheek coloring and the dolls eyes are wonderful with thick lashes which are all present (see photo). I think Madame Alexander created some of her best designs in the 1950′s. From the Golden Age of Madame Alexander dolls, This is one of the eariliest, 1957, Madame Alexander Cissy dolls. She is dressed in her original tagged navy blue dress with a ruffled white cape, both are crisp. The straw hat needs blocking. The original watch is still attached at the waist. A pearl choker has been added. She is in very good condition Her facepaint is still bright if with tiny age spots (see closeup) her hair, a little flyaway No Alexander box. Even though I do not smoke I cannot guarantee that the doll has never been exposed to it.
