This is a charming 9 Madame Alexander Cissette Doll in a Cissette tagged 1958 Outfit. She has her original blonde triple stitched Wig in curls. Bright Face coloring with green Eyes that open and close freely. Cissette is wearing a tagged red velvet Pants with Cissette Blouse, Undies, Nylons and red Cissette type Shoes. The pants do have a mark on the back which I have attempted to circle, see photo. I don’t think you will notice it much in person but wanted to mention. Original 1950′s Madame Alexander 8″ hard plastic bent knee Walker doll wearing tagged “Wendy Kins outfit. The tag is in the panties. She is wearing the jumper for “Wendy adores a Cardigan” outfit with a blouse added. Blouse buttons in the back. The net slip I have added for fullness. Elastic in panties is good. On her head is an Alexanderkins hat with chin strap added. Her pink cotton socks are replacements. Her shoes have fuzzy bottoms. Walker works but stiff. Will stand without a doll stand. This little gal, who was short lived in production, is in her entirely original dress, shoes, socks, underwear, underdress, and bow. When I found her, she had the original hairnet around her face but it was disintegrating so it was removed. Her bow is factory pinned. Though she was likely never played with, time has aged her outfit: there is rust on the buttons of her underdress, the elastic is gone on her underwear, her dress is faded and not vibrant, her bow has foxing from the hairnet, and there are traces of foxing on her outfit and shoes. Her original hang tag is also faded but you can still make out Caroline. Her hair is perfect and not missing any plugs. There is a small mark on her back. She holds her poses and limbs are tight. Within the community there are many who are apprehensive or skeptical of antique dealers, while most of us are simply trying to run a small business or fund our own collections. Once you are a dealer, you will understand that this community is small and most long-timers don’t intentionally harm buyers. And it is a JOB. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Golden blonde wig, in original curls, original barrette. Tagged long dress, blue lace pattern. Rhinestone drop earrings and necklace. Taffeta petticoats and satin panties. Vintage wide brim hat. Genuine mink stole with clasp and glass eyes. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has golden blonde hair in the original style, pulled to the back with the original metal barrette across the top and longer curls in the back, the hair may look more reddish in the photos but is more golden blonde, (I think the last photo where she is laying face down shows the hair color best). Sparkling blue eyes, nice hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with. Earrings and a fabulous rhinestone necklace with clasp. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. Good strings, she holds a pose well. She is wearing her original long gown with a full circle skirt, nice body, it is a blue lace print, fully lined. The dress is very good, nice body, some slight fading in the skirt, there are some small holes in the lining. Underneath she wears a crisp blue and a white taffeta slip with tulle ruffle and ivory. The shoes are silver plastic. She carries a lovely 1950′s real mink fur stole, it has a clasp under the head, glass eyes. Her hat is after market, vintage 1950′s, ivory woven wide brim, shaped, it is. Flowers, has the cutest miniature bird. On top, comes with a hat pin. This is a very hard to find dress! Circa 1950′s Madame Alexander 17 hard plastic Margaret face doll wearing a tagged dress. She is a walking doll and her head turns side to side when she is walked. Under her tagged dress she wears a pink taffeta slip, possibly original, and a pair of pink taffeta panties which I made. On her feet she has cotton socks and center snap leatherette shoes. Her wig is Saran and in a hair net. Eyes open and close as they should. She has a small repair to the hem of the dress on the side as shown. She has been well played with but still displays nicely. This doll is a lovely Cissette and wearing her very Mint Cabana 1958 outfit. She is a 9 Madame Alexander Cissette Doll in beautiful condition and wearing the correct Hat. She has her original auburn Wig in original set with bright Face coloring, green Eyes that open and close easily and original rhinestone Earrings. Her Body is in excellent condition and tightly strung. Both Knees bend fine. This very sweet Lissy doll from the late 1950s is still pretty much like she came from her original box, which I do not have. I have never undressed her and don’t think she had ever been undressed or played with before I got her. Her blue check taffeta dress is crisp and tagged. Her flocked slip and taffeta panties are equally crisp and with good elastic. Her seamed stockings appear perfect. The elastic on her original wedge shoes has relaxed a little, but looks fine with her on a stand. The stockings could be removed and a pair of Lissy socks used, which would help the elastic fit more snugly. Her white pinafore, which has buttons and a snap for closure, is not as white as when new and shows a little discoloration in the bodice. The fabric is a muslin type and trimmed with lace. The pinafore would respond very well to a soak to bring it back to its original whiteness. The elastic in the sleeves of the dress is snug, and the neckline is trimmed with white baby rickrack. It snaps in the back. Lissy is 11.5 inches tall and was made by Madame Alexander. I’m guessing she is from 1958, but could be off a year one way or the other. Her auburn hair is in its original factory set with a cute hair bow. Lissy is all hard plastic and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. I don’t see any cracks around her elbow joints or knee joints. Arms hold a pose, and head is not loose. Her eyes open and close with ease. I see blue in them, but the pupils are large so not sure if she was considered one of the pupil-less Lissy’s. She is from a smoke-free home and does not come with a stand or box.
