See my other auctions for more great historic items! Madame Alexander Doll “Alexanderkin” 1953 SLNW Hard Plastic RARE 1 Year Doll. Note: Doll Stand Not Included. Adorable 8 Madame Alexander (SLNW) Straight Leg Non Walker Alexanderkin doll. Made for one year only in 1953. Marked “ALEX”, she has a gorgeous SHINY MINTY blonde wig with bangs & curls, molded lashes, excellent color, no cracks nor chips, is firmly strung, with very reactive dark blue sleep eyes that flutter so charmingly when held. The overall doll body is really Minty. She was found in this floral pink & pastel grey dress with lace & pink flowers that match the flowers on her straw hat with pink ribbon. Its taffeta petticoat is lace-trimmed as are the panties. There is no tag, as the area where it should have been attached now holds a replaced snap. Period vintage outfit includes a blue vinyl purse, white socks & pink snap-over shoes… All of the correct style & time period. Of course without the tag, we can’t guarantee that the dress is original to this doll, but it has been suggested that it may be a Nancy Ann Muffie dress. This was a short-run model, as only 1 year of production was afforded the non-walkers. Therefore they are quite rare & very desirable in this fine condition. No odors – smoke free! Here for your consideration is a vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll in excellent condition! Cissy is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows and knees. All her joints work properly. She is free of any splits and her vinyl arms are free of any chews. Her body is clean and the usual joint rubs are minimal. I note her head wobbles back and forth just a bit. She does have a few tiny random marks that you would expect to see on a doll of this vintage. Cissys face paint is all original. She has nicely blushed cheeks and a pretty bisque like complexion. She has lovely blue eyes and her brush eyelashes are nice and full. Cissys blonde wig was professionally restyled and I want to note that she does have hairspray in her hair to keep her curls in place. A FABULOUS DOLL “McGUFFEY ANA”. By MADAME ALEXANDER – Hard Plastic – Circa: 1950′s. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. Here is a fabulous Madame Alexander – “McGuffey Ana” hard plastic doll. She is 14 inches tall. For price reference see page #32 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This terrific doll is all original and is in mint condition. Her facial painting is like it was painted yesterday instead of in the 1950′s. Her hard plastic has no flaws and no splits in the plastic. She has no repainting as examined by a black light. Her dress is tagged as you can see in a photo. Her lace trimmed apron has a little age dust but can be cleaned if you think that is best. She has a nice blue floral print dress with lace on the arms. She wears her original lace trimmed slip and underpants. Of course, her long socks and her red leather shoes/boots are original. She has been to the spa and looks amazing. Her beautiful red wig has lovely curls. This girl has clear blue eyes with white whites, lovely original eyelashes, ruby red lips, and rosy cheeks. There are no cracks, splits, repairs, or odors to this doll. Her hands and knees still retain their blush. The only issue she has are that the backs of her upper arms appear to have transfer from a dark fabric. She must have worn a black dress at sometime in her past life. There are products that can be used to remove this. She is well strung and holds a pose. A truly beautiful early Cissy doll, don’t let her get away. Up for your consideration is this extraordinary Cissy doll from 1958. She is affectionately called The Lady in Red She is absolutely stunning and has a bright beautiful color to her face however, she is not for the mint collector. She has gorgeous blue green eyes with all of her lashes. No cracks of any kind! I love her anyway as she just melted my heart. These dolls are so hard to come by and I hate to part with her but I have to downsize my collection! Her hair was also a mess and I believe that it has been restored beautifully! Her curls are held in place with Bobby pins as her wig was in fragile condition before her restoration. The red velvet bow had just disintegrated into her hair so she has a simple red bow in her hair now. She comes with replaced Swarovski pearl earrings and necklace. She Has a huge white slip under her gown which is had some red from her dress fade onto it making it look pink. The slip has stretched elastic as do her panties. Her nylons have A couple small blemishes on them and shes wearing replaced vintage silver shoes. I have never tried to do anything with the dress I believe it will clean up beautifully however, I will leave that up to the new owner. There are also a couple of other spots on the ballgown. She is so very gorgeous and is always the centerpiece of any collection! She will always put a smile on your face! She is extremely well adjusted and a very uplifting doll. She displays amazingly during the holidays and Valentines Day its almost like she glows! Please look at all the pictures as they are part of the description.
