Offered here is a wonderful Madame Alexander Coquette with jointed knees and elbows, dressed as “MAME” from the popular movie of the same name. This doll is from the 2006 Williamsburg Convention and has the Madame Alexander tag bearing this identification sewn into the dragon coat. This doll has jet black hair and blue painted eyes and red lips. She has a tiny black beauty mark on her left cheek. She is dressed in a scandalously short gold brocade sheath with a long full length black velvet coat. The coat has two large dragons embroidered in gold and red on the coat and it is trimmed in gold braid and lined in gold satin. She has gold ball earrings, a black chiffon hair bow and dangling rhinestone and gold ornament. I have added a necklace with two large Asian character charms on it, to add to her attire. On her wrists, she has two wide gold cuff bracelets, one on each arm. Please check the photos carefully, as the long sleeves tend to obscure these wonderful accessories. She is multi-jointed, with joints at the elbows and knees and has a twist waist which all make for fun posing. In the movie, Mame, the lead actress was Rosalind Russell who played an extremely wealthy socialite intent on living life to the fullest. She was known to wear extremely outlandish and provocative outfits and lived in an ultra modern mansion complete with a sweeping spiral staircase from which she make her grand entrance to her parties and soirees. This doll exhibits her wonderful flair for the exotic and provocative. She would make a lovely gift or addition to your collection. This doll is from my personal collection. She has been kept in a darkened doll room in my SMOKE FREE and PET FREE home. She will come to you with the doll stand shown so that she will be ready for display on arrival. I take great care to wrap and pack my dolls so that they do not move around in transit. No props in the photos are included in this listing — only the dressed doll with her accessories. 1961 Jacqueline Portrait Doll in White Satin Inaugural Ball Gown Coat by Ashton-Drake 2004. Jacqueline was only produced for one year upon request from the Kennedy family. She is a rather rare doll in the inaugural ball gown and very elegant and stunning. She is porcelain and about 20 tall. Comes with stand, all paperwork and in original box She is wearing her very clean tagged creamy white satin strapless inaugural ball gown trimmed with lace, matching full length designer style evening cape-coat with pearl frog and hook closure at the neckline graduated “pearl” necklace, snowflake shape pearl and rhinestone earrings and pearl evening bag. She has her red nail polish, beautiful pink blush to her cheeks, pink lips, Brown sleep eyes, blue eye shadow and eyelids, dark brown stroked brows and beautiful dark brunette hair. Madame Alexander 1955 Cissy in Yellow Slipper Satin Evening Gown. This beautiful (first year) Cissy wears a very full ball gown featuring a dropped waist that is longer in the back. She has thick auburn hair pulled back with original spanner bar. She wears a hooped petticoat with attached panties and gold sandals and carries a muff of tulle with red roses. Everything is original and dress is tagged. Her only flaws are slight stains, one in front and one in back near hemline of skirt. I’ve tried to photograph without much luck. Satin is not the easiest to photograph with all the shimmers and shadows. Both are hardly noticeable if you are looking for them and she displays beautifully. She wears faux diamond necklace, earrings and bracelet. Elastic in her petticoat/panty and in her shoes has been replaced, as I don’t like to see sagging elastic. She is tightly strung and all joints work well. There are no splits, cracks or damage. This doll comes from my smoke-free home. Rare Shari Lewis Doll By Madame Alexander in Original Tagged Clothes. This lovely gal measures approximately 13 tall and in very nice condition. She is wearing her original tagged outfit that consists of a gold and floral long sleeve blouse, matching skirt adorned with silk flowers, slip, underpants (elastic stretched), and stockings. The outfit is in wonderful condition. Her gorgeous auburn hair is in the original hair set with the original string and flower stem. Silk flowers from her hair fell off from age but, will be included. She is wearing her original earrings and necklace. The jewelry shows wear but, still so pretty. No chew marks, loose limbs, or damage on this wonderful gal. Her face paint is amazing. Some slight yellowing around the brows and lashes. Her green sleep eyes work very well. Flaws to mention are discoloration around her waist going around her back from either a doll stand or the elastic in her underwear. I have not treated or tried to remove it in any way. Very faint gray color on one wrist. Having said that she is STUNNING. A doll collector’s dream. She will make a wonderful addition to your doll collection. Rare Vintage Jane Withers 13 Composition Doll By Madame Alexander. This little 13 composition doll was made by Madame Alexander in 1937. She features a brown mohair wig, sleepy eyes with light shadow, painted lower lashes, single stroke brows and a closed mouth. She has a full set of lashes. Her eyes open and close as they should. Her stringing is excellent and she can stand independently and hold a pose. Her composition is in excellent condition with no visible cracking, chipping or crazing to her body. There is early light crazing to her face upon very close inspection. There is also a small crack on the edge of her right eye. She is wearing a white cotton dress with a light blue floral pinafore. Clothing is not tagged and the origin of the clothing is unknown. There are some stains on the sleeves that would probably wash out with careful laundering.
