This is a 1956 rhinestone taffeta drape tagged gown in red. Cissy loves to get all dressed up. Lovely Cissy Rhinestone Side Drape Madame Alexander 1956 Original Clothing. Dress and undies are 1956. Her hair is still in original net. Her earrings, nylons, shoes are 1956. Petticoat , purse, necklace & bracelet are from 1980s. All elastic is good in undies and petticoat. Her hat is a Richard Original. Her dress has a stain on the front part of sash. This is the 20-21 Cissy by Madame Alexander. She is coming to you in a handmade lingerie suit (not pictured). She does not have earring holes but with her very fulll wig you can rarely get a glimpse of her ear lobes. I warn you, Cissy can be addictive, at least she is for me, I love them! This Cissy is one I got from Susan Wells Roberts (Pearlsgirls). I totally trust that Susan has given the thorough gone over with the Cissy’s, she is absolutely amazing with them. Susan is another master at restoration when it comes to these dolls. This Cissy has an excellent body. I have trouble getting her left leg bent all the way at the knee. It bends about half way for me. I have shown in my pictures that Cissy has a few marks on the neck. You really can’t notice it especially if wearing pearls. Her face is sealed with a matte sealer, not done by me, came this way to me. She has beautiful blush and a tremendously thick wig. The more I look at it, I believe the torso has had a bit of applied body makeup in an attempt to cover the scratch marks on her neck. I haven’t done anything to her, only enjoyed displaying her. She has the sweetest face!! Cissy has beautiful clear eyes that are nicely set. Eyes that are not both focused on the same thing is one thing that drives me crazy if my dolls have it and this girl has beautifully set eyes. The stand is not included. The dresses and accessories shown are not included, only a one piece handmade lingerie suit. Our home is non smoking and she has no odors. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissette 801 w/ original box, outfit and clothing as pictured. I think I received her about 1958 before Barbie came out. She is in her original box and wearing her original outfit of pink slip, panties, stockings and pink shoes with flower and rhinestone. Also the gold purse and shoes were original. She may have actually been wearing the gold shoes. The other items I collected later. THe 2 dresses have the Cissette vintage tag. The pink robe has an Alexanderkins tag. I believe the 2 hats in front may be newer and the 1 in back vintage. Don’t know if they are Alexander or not. Note; there are some smudges on her face in the pic in the box; They wiped off; look at the pic with her eyes open for a more accurate representation of her face. Margaret O’Brien doll by the Alexander Doll Company, New York, NY. Vintage in original clothing – original arm hang tag – I believe the original braiding to her hair! Original box with original Sattler’s price tag. As you will see – box is not intact but it comes with her if you want to cut the side panel off to display in a frame etc. Non smoking home but this doll has been stored – i believe never played with but it does have a dusty oder. Not moldy but dusty. I do see some discoloration on the dress – not sure if from just aging or previous finger oils? – need to look at pictures if showing up. Not sure – maybe would wash out if desired. Pricing reasonable because she does have some age related hairline cracking. Here is my high-color, red-haired Madame Alexander CISSY, from the early 1960′s. She stands 20 inches tall and has green eyes with full lashes. Her sleep eyes open and close. She is fully poseable, with jointed elbows and knees, and does NOT need to be restrung. She does not have any cracks, and only one pink “freckle” on the back of her left leg could be considered a stain. She has minor areas where skin color has been rubbed off. These are on the left side of her neck and at the top inside of both thighs. She was obviously some little girl’s favorite toy. But all in all she is in great shape for her 60+ years! She is being offered for sale with her tagged teddy, one pair of panties, one crinoline, two handmade dresses (one red plaid taffeta which I put her in at Christmas, and one mint green fabric which reminds me of “dotted swiss”), the gold high-heeled sandals, and the pearl necklace, all seen in the photos.
