Madame Alexander Dolls

The usual outfit is in blue with a coat and different hat, but same skirt and similar blouse. This great condition outfit consists of a pink skirt, white blouse, ivory cardigan, fancy pink hat, and undies. First of all, the Alexander-kin is a BKW with a gorgeous triple stitch red wig and bright all original facial coloring. She is just so pretty in pink! There are no cracks splits in her hard plastic and her stringing is tight. The walker walks if somewhat hesitantly. Her beautiful sparkling eyes open and close easily. The pink skirt has good waist elastic and stays up nicely. There are two barely visible light brown marks on the skirt, one at the hem and one near the waist. Honestly they show up more in the pictures that in person. The white blouse is different than the blue outfit version in that it has a ribbed texture in front. The wonderful knit cardigan has no holes or stains and has good buttonholes and original buttons. Underneath is a full star slip, instead of a half slip, and matching star panties. Both in very good condition. The hat is so wonderful! It is the bandeau type hat with bunches of flowers on each side and tied under the chin with a pink bow. Finally the socks and fuzzy bottom black shoes are also in very good condition. What a special “Kin” to add to your collection! All items are carefully wrapped including tissue, bubble wrap, and most items are boxed. Items come from a non-smoking home. Vintage Madame Alexander-KINS Wendy. Adorable Alexander-kin doll from estate. I believe she is called Maypole Dance from 1954. She is a straight leg walker. Her walker mechanism works but seems a bit stiff to me. She has new bands on arms and legs. She comes with her original hang tag, pretty pink hat, pink organdy dress, blue button on pinafore, pink half slip, panties with blue trim, white socks and black fuzzy bottom side snap shoes. Some of the flocking has rubbed off the shoes in areas. She has pretty face color and is very clean with no odors. Her clothing is in lovely condition, appears never to have been laundered. Top of her socks are stretched out. Black fuzzy bottom shoes are scuffed. Faint pink mark on her chest. Faint spot above left eyebrow. Hang tag shows wear, corner was glued back together. This is a vintage 1950s Madame Alexander-kins doll that is approximately 8 tall. She has beautiful brunette hair with curls and good coloring on the face and lips. Her body is in nice condition with no spots. She is in the original clothing that has browned over the years. Of the cherries on her straw hat has some of the red scrapped off. Wendy is a bend knee walker with a triple stitch red wig that has been on display. Her make up and face coloring are beautiful. The dress is organdy embroidered with rosebuds. There is a pink velvet sash attached at the waist that could be pressed. The dress is trimmed with lace on the sleeves, neck and skirt. It is in great shape, however yellowed with age. The straw hat has a black velvet ribbon hat band, also in great shape. The matching Bouquet and flowers in the hat are different then pictures I have seen. The flowers are smaller. The shoes look to be in just OK shape. One bow only has a loop in one side and there bottoms are not as fuzzy as the shoes I have on a bride in another listing. She does not stand on her own. A fellow Ebayer asked if the lashes have been retouched. I do not know. Her eyelashes compared to other Alexander Kins is darker. This is a wonderful 1953 Strung alexanderkin wendy in a red vinyl case with assorted clothing, hats, and accessories. Wendy has no splits or discolorations. Her wig has a few flyaways. None of the clothing is tagged. It is all in nice condition except the yellow striped dress. She wears excellent top stitch shoes, alexanderkin panties, and a pretty dress with lace trim. A fabulous, high color doll wearing her original tagged, crispy mint, complete Southern Belle outfit. Brunette hair still in the factory style set. Brown sleep eyes that work nicely. She is strung just right, knees bend nicely and walker mechanism functions well. Crispy gown has 2 tiny pin holes on top layer front, which look as though someone used a straight pin. Other than that, no stains, holes or discoloring. Hat and purse look to never have been off the doll. Also included are her 2 strand faux crystal necklace, full slip, bloomers, rayon socks and side snap shoes with fuzzy soles. Even has her Alexander stand. They don’t get much nicer than this!
