Madame Alexander Dolls

Here is a gorgeous Madame Alexander Cissy doll in near mint condition. She comes wearing her original tagged navy blue taffeta dress with matching straw hat. She also comes with her original panties, strapped high heel shoes with rhinestones, vintage beaded purse and necklace. Her ivory crinoline, hose and white lace gloves are replacements. This doll is absolutely stunning with beautiful auburn hair in its original style. Her eyes open and close and all lashes are intact. Her dress is in excellent condition…… Still nice and crisp with no holes, tears, or fading. There are a couple of very faint tiny spots on the skirt which are hard to see and pretty much lost in the folds of her dress. My camera cannot capture them. Her charming hat still has great stretch in the chin strap and no flowers are missing. The elastic in her shoes are a little loose but they stay on her feet fine. She is strung well and holds poses nicely. Body color is uniform all over and there are no cracks, splits or tears. She is from my personal collection and displays beautifully. This is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Cissy has the prettiest red hair in a tight bobbed hairstyle and pretty blue to blue/green eyes. She has no seam splits. In wonderful condition with original paint and blush. Just a tiny cluster of spots/dots on front torso, a small separation of the eyelashes on her right eye, and some roughness along the edges of the eyelids as you can see in the photos but you must be looking for them since they are all very hard to see. For your consideration; A beautiful Auburn hair Cissy doll from 1958…. This pretty Cissy retains her original blush and she has clear blue eyes. All eyelashes are present. She has pierced ears and would look pretty with rhinestone studs added. I have placed a vintage red ribbon in her hair. She has no cracks, splits or odors. Her head is a bit loose, although she still poses easily. Her hair retains her original spanner. She has no odors and is from a smoke free, pet free home. Madame Alexander Arlene Dahl Doll. I’m not sure if she’s unmarked, or if her markings are. Hidden under her wig. She’s in rough shape. She’s not broken but she has various marks on her body and face. I have not tried to clean her, other than wiping her off, gently, with a damp washcloth. Her eyes still function. Her hair is in the original style, however she has what appears to be moth chews on her wig. She has discoloration on one ear, the other ear has her original earring, which is tarnished. The outer layer of her dress is sun faded. It also has moth chews, the lining seems to be disintegrating, the snaps are all intact but are loose and there are loose threads along the back of the bodice. The under layer is in better condition. Also included is a slip/underwear combo which is probably discolored from age but is free of holes. Her shoes show wear, her stockings have a few small holes not visible when she’s dressed. Marked “ALEXANDER” on back of head. Complete with original Earrings. Here’s a great “CISSY” for your collection. Her mature figure, jointed limbs and high-heeled feet made her a fashion doll classic in the 1950′s. Her body is hard plastic, and her arms are vinyl. Her head turns, and the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees are jointed. Her “sleep” eyes work well and the lashes are full – see the photos. Her “lipstick” is intact with no chips or scratches to the color. Cissy comes complete with her original rhinestone earrings. Her wig, which is detached, is a redhead. Some of the original style can be seen but the wig does need some TLC. She is wearing panties that are stretched out and certainly look her age, but I don’t know if they were original. This Cissy is in excellent condition. The only issue can be seen in the second photo – One little piece of vinyl pops out of the arm joint when the arm is lowered – it can just be pushed back in to the joint – It’s mentioned here for complete accuracy. 20″ hard plastic fifties vintage Cissy doll redhead with untouched hair, high color beautiful face, “diamond earrings, her original MA velvet formal jacket with ribbon and floral trim. Fabulous redhead in blue beach outfit w/hang tag & box. This Cissette is a stunning redhead with wonderful facial color to go with it. She is wearing a 1950s blue beach outfit and still retains the hang tag on her wrist. The photographs are her best description (the box has wear and the picture shows the worst section). Her blue print cotton outfit is crispy mint; however her hat and silver heels are not. She is as I got her in the box. Her heel and hat elastics have stretched, and the hat has a small hole by the metal piece. This hair color is so difficult to find, and she wears her original turquoise earrings. The doll measures approximately 20 tall. She has a plastic body and vinyl arms. The doll looks to have been played with very little. The face paint is lovely, and the outfit is nice. Please note that there is paint wear on the eyelids, and what looks like a tiny bit of dried material by her right eye. This looks like something that is on the plastic, and not paint loss. I think this may clean off, but I have not tried. She actually needs a light cleaning, as she has sat for many years. The top of her hat is soiled, and there is a little bit of flaking to the flowers. She has spots on her feet, that look like is on the legs and not the nylons. It looks like the straps of her heels may be stretched. Her dress may be lightly soiled, but I nee no holes, pulls or tears. The hand tag is stained. The box is very rough, soiled, stained, faded, torn, taped etc.. Fair condition at best. This is a very nice old doll, with great display potential.
