Madame Alexander Dolls

This dress is in Good shape, the only problem I have been able to find is a tear in the. Ribbon around the waist. Please look at the last picture. The edge is torn about 1/2 inch. Also if you pull the ribbon apart it does have a torn hole. You don’t see it. Unless you do pull the ribbon apart. It has 3 rhinestones on the front. It closes with 4 snaps in the back. The elastic in the sleeves is stretched some, they do have. Some stretch to them still. It is Clean, no odors and other then the tear of the ribbon I do no see any other cuts, tears. Have not seen any stains on the dress. To look it over very well. Very Cool, different dress, colors are Great. This dress comes from a smoke free, clean home. In person she’s breath taking… !!! My photos don’t do her justice. She has the face of an angel…… Early strung Kins in this condition are IMPOSSIBLE to find! Excellent face coloring with nice rosy cheeks with no rubs. Desirable matte finish complexion. Lovely blue grey eyes and lots of finely feathered painted lashes. Vintage slip has slight loosening of waist elastic but slip stays up. Gorgeous crochet Alexander-kins bonnet with multi-ruffle edging. I do see one tiny hole on one side of the bonnet which in no way detracts from her displayability or appeal! Her box is in EXCELLENT clean condition for it’s age and is marked #300 BLONDE. There two minty Madame Alexander-Kins dolls from the Little Women characters are in really nice shape with the gorgeous hair and pretty high color faces and nice outfits and these were really put away and not played with. The boxes show some wear but the dolls smell fine and have really nice detailed layered clothing. One is MEG #609 & the other is Beth #609 and the original boxes are not taped and only one has the head insert. Both of the dolls hair-dos are intricate stitched glued on wigs that are in fine original shape with the original hair ribbons in the original bows. All of the clothing on both dolls are clean and both have their shoes. They each have a “bent” knee legs and each have the “walking head turning” motion when the legs are moved. Perhaps these are a memory from your play past or nice items to add to your collection. The bodies are clean and nice with no breaks or skin surface problems. Here for your consideration is the Madame Alexander lovely red taffeta and rhinestone side drape gown from 1956. Also included is a hoop slip, red gloves and a floral hair decoration. The off the shoulder gown has a fitted bodice, dropped waist and a very full skirt. There is an attached taffeta “drape” trimmed in six rhinestones, and a slight train in the back. In my opinion the condition of the gown is excellent. I do not see any damage, repairs or stains. The Cissy tag is sewn into a seam on the back of the right shoulder. All snaps are present with original stitching. All rhinestones are secure. There are only a few wrinkles here and there. The gown is fully lined in red organdy. The cream colored hoop slip has a wide ruffle of tulle and holds the gown out nicely though it is slightly misshapen as often happens with these hoops. The ruffle is slightly pink. The slip closes with two snaps in the back. One side of one snap is missing some stitches. Also included are a pair of vintage red gloves (not sure whether or not these are Madame Alexander). The included hair decoration of red roses and green leaves will give your doll the look of the Cissy on the cover of Doll News. A very pretty ensemble! She is clean and free from stains, chews, cracks, splits or odors. She has beautiful blue eyes with white whites, no yellowing. She has full lashes and her eyes open and close with ease. This is a darling little doll with blonde triple stitch wig that is shiny and nice and tight to her head. She has original coloring, nice overall skin tone and no cracks or stains to her body. Her outfit is in very good condition. The pink dress is a nice pink color and has not yellowed like so many that I have had in the past. There are a few very small light brown marks on the back of the dress that do not distract but are there none the less. Besides that the dress if free of stains, holes or odors. Under the dress she wears the a slip and bloomers. The slip is a little stretched but still stays up and the bloomers are in good shape. Her gold shoes and socks are in nice condition and show little wear. Lastly is her beautiful hat with blue striped ribbon tie. The hat is a lovely pink color and the flowers are beautiful. The tie is in good condition but may be a little shorter than it was originally however it still ties in a beautiful big bow. She comes with a box – not sure if original correct box or not. She has on a blue and pink check dress with under garment. All the buttons are attached and the shoes and socks are present -socks are a little stretched out. We have several dolls including more Madame Alexanders. The dolls do not smell or have any odor. These came out of an estate – a very clean home.
