Madame Alexander Dolls

She is clean and has no odors, stains, or chews. She has a gorgeous face and lovely eyes, but she has a few issues. Her wig has been retied up on the sides at one time. The hair on the front of the wig and in the side tie ups is very stiff and cannot be recombed or restyled. I believe this was because she had a break in her wig center seam and someone sprayed it to prevent hair loss. Some separation of the wig at the temples. The top knot and the back of the hair are not sprayed and I have combed it back into curls. She has new blush added. But all other face makeup is original. Her eyes are original and have full lashes. She has nice arms with no rips in the sockets. Body is also very nice with little joint rub. She has had a repair to the bottom of the right leg. Restrung lower leg, as the original metal spring was broken. It is a nice repair, but it is not as tight as the metal spring was. It is not floppy however. Small surface hairline opening in the top surface of the inside of that same knee. It does not go through, and in my opinion is very stable. Not a perfect doll by any means, but with a crown or a hat on her wig issues could be concealed, and she poses very nice. She has earring holes. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. Vintage Madame Alexander 20 MIB Bridal Wreath Cissy Doll. Beautiful Cissy, MIB condition. She is pictured in the book The Cissy Files by K. Shaw and is from 1958. No damage, still has all original, shoes, ring, earrings, necklace, hairnet, everything. She has a garter with stretched elastic and her silver shoe elastic is also stretched. Her gown has embroidered floral wreaths around the scalloped bottom edge of the tulle overlay. This doll is a rather hard to find Cissy, and especially hard to find MIB. The box is worn and torn, but still intact. I an send a pic of the box if you would like. She has been stored in her box on a shelf for many years and is looking for a new home. We offer for your consideration an undisplayed, or gently displayed, Madame Alexander Kin Wendy 8 doll, from 1955, in the original box. She is a beauty and was rarely removed from her box. The original cardboard insert is included. Her box has a label Baby Angel 480.—-You can see that her box is her original box, and she has made her home in this box for many decades. Her sleep eyes work perfectly. This doll’s highly blushed cheeks contrast beautifully with her pale coloration. Her full unfaded lips are lovely. Her factory fresh, or close to it, hair creates a stunning beauty. — —This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for a 60 or 70 year-old doll. She does have a minor white spot in the bottom, inside part, of her right eye. I did not see it until I really scrutinized her. It looked like it was part of the natural color of her eye. — Her outfit is complete, intact, and unfaded. Her Alexander-kins tag is intact and bright. Her bright, but shows the most minor wear, halo is attached to her. Her harp is included but not attached. The fabric has become unattached from the inside of her wing. —Her walking mechanism works nicely, stiffly, as her head is turned her feet take tiny steps. Her plastic is free of any splits, issues, or blemishes. — —Her dress, slip, panties, and shoes are all crisp, clean, and displayable. The elastic on her panties have no stretch; the elastic would be crunchy if they were removed. She is tagged Alexander kin. The doll and box were stored in a cool dark room in a pet and smoke free estate and house. You can feel confident with us. — — Her clothing, hair, and body are as close to factory fresh as you can find for a vintage doll of this age. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. Her head holds a pose beautifully. Her legs are well attached. Her arms are well connected, but they do not hold a pose. They may someday soon need restringing. — —- You can see the box is clean and mostly intact. The side shows an indent on the side. It is ripped along the two edges of the top lid. Plus, one part of the lid has a 2 rip along the top edge. It is taped across the one edge. You can see the minor edge wear along the outter edges of the lid and box. We offer for your consideration a lovely 14 unmarked Maggie doll with incredibly bright and unclouded eyes. Her eyes are highlighted with molded eyelashes, as well as individually painted lashes on the bottom and sides of her eyes. Her face, torso, and limbs are hard plastic with five pieces. She is well strung and poses beautifully. Her body and limbs are exceptionally clean, undamaged, and free of issues, or blemishes. She is a sleep eye doll, and her eyes open and close easily. Her wig appears factory fresh, or close to it, with thick hair pulled back into two lovely braids with her blue ribbons at the ends. Her coloring is a matte suntanned appearance with lightly blushed cheeks. —She is a beauty from the original owner’s showcase. This doll was kept in the family of a vast doll collection from the 1930s through the 1970s. Her hair is full with no thinning areas. Her face, body, and limbs are close to flawless. She shows the most minor rub of color from her arm and shoulder joint area. I see the slight little fleck of color off from the bottom edge of her lip. — —-Please look at the photos for further visual image of her condition. Her tagged Madame Alexander dress is exceptionally clean, fresh, and bright; however, let me know if I can send a magnified photo of the inch above the bottom hem. You can clearly see the needle holes along the bottom of the dress. It may have originally been trimmed with lace or rick rack. It hows no obvious stains, issues, or odors. It is fresh, crisp, and the color stayed true to the original beauty. It is complete with three well attached square snap buttons. Her very bright white panties are just as lovely as the day they were made with a blue trim and still stretchy waist. She shows the most minor paint rub, loss, in her hidden shoulder and leg joints where they connnect to her torso. She is free of splits or cracks.
