This is Cissy by Madame Alexander, circa 1950′s. She is hard plastic with vinyl arms. She is strung well. She has no odors. Her wig is excellent and in it’s original set. Her face is clean with nice coloring. She has full eyelashes. Her eyes are clear and clean. They open and close but do not close all the way. The only mark on her face is a small one near her right eye (see photo). She has full painted features. She comes with her original diamond earrings. Her body and limbs have nice coloring and are in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks or distracting marks. There is a tear in the vinyl under her right arm where it enters her body (see photo). She comes with her original tagged “Cissy” gown. It is in very nice and clean condition. I have carefully checked the netting at the bottom part of the gown and do not see any holes or tears. There is one flower on the front of her gown. I think the other flowers are missing. She also comes with her original slip and nylons. These are also in very nice condition with no problems. She is missing her shoes. Really a beautiful doll! Gorgeous Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy is wearing her Very Hard To Find hand-painted tulle Fragile and Flowery gown from 1958. Cissy has beautiful brunette hair with full bangs, and her spanner bar. She has lovely blue eyes and nice coloring. The doll is in excellent vintage condition. Her head is slightly wobbly, but still displays fine. The gown has the fabric flowers and rhinestones throughout, and displays beautifully. I do need to mention that the gown had a few tears in the tulle in the back, which were repaired using Fabri-Tac Fabric glue. (not by me) There are also a few holes, and a cutout in the tulle at the bottom. I have added pics to show the places, and they are all in the back of the gown, and are only noticeable on close inspection. Cissy wears her lovely horsehair hat with large pink flowers, includes her slip, stockings, white gauntlets, and “diamond” ring. Cissy will need silver heels, as the elastic was stretched out on hers. The doll is free of smoke smells, or other odors. There is no doll stand included. I feel that the doll is at a very reasonable price. If the gown was in excellent condition, the doll would be listed for a much higher price. I will consider fair and reasonable offers. This Cissy is a painted plastic Cissy, not an infused one. Cissy has been cleaned and restrung. She has no cracks or splits. She has had repair and paint to a hip split on the left leg and a small surface crack on the inside of her left knee. She has had a reblush and a protective matte finish applied to her face. She has beautiful blue eyes and she has full lashes. She has had lash fill in on her left eye. Her head is slightly wobbly, and poses perfect. She has an updo wig that was cleaned and retied. She has earring holes. Her arms are a nice match and have no rips or tears to the vinyl. Her dress is made of pink taffeta and fully lined with white organdy. Snaps up the back with square snaps. Sparkling Swarovski crystals adorn the dress at the sleeves and on her sash. There is also a new white slip, vintage pink Cissy panties, newer nylons, and new gold shoes. She also wears pearl drop earrings and a “diamond” ring. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. This beautiful Cissy Doll Rhinestone Side Drape Blue Gown is a stunning evening gown with rhinestone accents. Reproduced in the likeness of the original, this gown is created in crisp taffeta and fully lined in cotton organdy. The gown features a long form-fitting bodice attached to a full trained skirt topped with a long side draped sash. Cissy looks ready for the red carpet in this rhinestone draped dress. The dress has been created by RubieMae of Forget Me Not Dolls. This gown originally came in many colors in 1956 and is so reminiscent of this golden age of couture fashion. This Cissy doll is Beautiful!! She has original hair style very elegant. Cissy is wearing her original pink torso gown with all original jewelry, her hair is in wonderful condition the hairnet is still there too. Cissy has no splits or cracks but there are a few scratches on her back. The slip appears to be sewn on and the tag is missing and the gown appears to have been cleaned at some point. This is one of those times when pictures say a thousand words. Here is the Alexander Doll Company’s very rare yellow version of boxed extra item #22-60, the dotted Swiss tulle gown from 1959, also catalogued by FAO Schwarz as item #25-21-2. With an extremely critical eye, I must say this gown is in as near mint condition as mint can be – I reserve awarding that title only because it does not have its original box. This bright & crisply tagged gown has a cotton organdy underskirt; there is not a single spot of soiling or as much as a snag anywhere in either the organdy or the yards of overlaying tulle. Closure is at the back with four square snaps. Usually seen in the more familiar red version, both the yellow and the blue gowns are extremely rare and a favorite among collectors. Underneath Cissy is wearing vintage hosiery, and the gorgeous silk taffeta & tulle yellow slip (with matching original panties) is a perfect replica of the slip originally seen with this spectacular gown. Cissy is wearing a topaz set of rhinestone jewelry and an original Cissy “diamond” ring, and she carries yellow vintage gloves and an original vintage white & gold hatbox. Her vintage original gold sandals make the outfit complete! Cissy is exquisite, an early 1956 painted girl with gorgeous features, her blush & lip color have been lightly refreshed.
