Lovely, red head Cissy wearing only her earrings. Made by Madame Alexander in the 1950s. She is 20 inches tall with sleep eyes, full lashes and a fully jointed hard plastic body; all joints work well. Her wig with great red hair is in the original style and good condition. The doll is in excellent, original condition with no damage, splits or cracks. She could use light cleaning to remove a couple marks at her waist and a rub mark at the neck socket. This gorgeous Madame Alexander 8 doll is Wendy wearing a School Outfit. She is a hard-plastic straight leg non-walker doll from 1953, the first year these little dolls were made. Her dress is the brightest pink and has matching panties. Her black shoes are top-stitched and have fuzzy bottoms. What a beautiful, beautiful doll! Cissy is dressing for an evening out. She is wearing a very nice bra, girdle, and garter set in excellent condition. I believe the undergarments were made by Premier, but there are no tags. The elastic in the girdle is in wonderful condition for its age, with no stretching or relaxing to the elastic. The items are clean and have no signs of play or display wear. There is also a second bra that came with this set. It has a little different pattern to it, but the same style. I have added a new pair of nylons. Cissy herself is very clean and has no odors, cracks, stains or chews. She has had a small repair done to a 1/4 split in the crotch seam. It is very thin, but I was able to get some bonding material inside the split. She has some small scratches on her back and a couple on her buttocks. She has a couple of faint smudge type stains on her upper arms. She is newly restrung to head and arms. Her arms are a nice match and have no rips or tears in the socket area. She has earring holes. She has had new blush and matte sealer applied. Her lips and brows are repainted. Her eyes have full lashes and they have been reset. Her hair is clean and retains it’s original curls. This was one of My Mother’s Original Dolls. She has been packed away for many Years. She is an Original 1956-57 Madame Alexander Basic Cissy Doll in her Tagged Chemise, Pink Ribbon in back of her hair, Seamed Nylons, and Pink Rose and Lace Heels. This Cissy doll was never played with. Her Auburn hair is in the original factory set with her original ribbon on the back. Her Very Blue eyes open and close easily with Full Lashes. Her Face is Beautiful with original Cheek blush and lip paint. This Cissy Doll is Very Clean all over. Her arms are still soft and supple, warm flesh color and blush on her hands. Her stringing is still tight. She only has one factory split on the inside of one knee. No splits in high thighs. No splits in vinyl arms. This beautiful Madame Alexander Cissy doll from the late 1950s was bought from the family of the original owner. She is original to this tagged purple torso gown. She wears her original rhinestone earrings, which had been glued to her ears, and I never did anything to change it. She has no issues to her hard plastic body except for a split at the top of her left leg, which was never repaired. Her brunette updo wig is fabulous and in the original set, with very minimal hairs out of place. She has very blue eyes, and I really don’t see any color change in them. They open and close well, and she has all of her brush lashes. There are a few specks on her eyelids. She has some issues to her right check and the right side of her face, which are pictured. Not really noticeable on display, but the camera sees everything. These could probably be touched up without much trouble. Her stringing is good, and there are no issues with her vinyl arms. Her joints are at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and she is 20 inches tall. Her tagged torso gown is purple velvet with pink satin accents and a voluminous flounce of soft lavender tulle over a deeper lavender organdy underskirt. I found a couple of tiny spots on the organdy underskirt. They would probably rinse out, but they would never be seen. The tulle has no rips or tears, but a few pinholes and one area in the back where there are several small holes in a grouping. I have a picture of this if you would like to see, but I ran out of picture room. Under the gown is a torso slip with pink satin top and lace-trimmed pink satin panties attached and a flounce of lavender tulle. Didn’t see any issues with this. I had the elastic replaced years back with pink rayon-rubber elastic like the original, so it fits snugly. She wears original Cissy hose with no damage. Tops are very slightly loose, but stay up fine. The shoes are white pearl bases with pretty pink insoles and silver elastic. They were bought quite a while ago to use with this gown since the doll had lost her original shoes. Also missing was the snowflake pin that goes on the gown’s bodice. The vintage flowers are very tired, and one of the flowers became detached and lost. I have pictured a spray of 1950s fuschia nylon? Roses that was intended to replace the original flowers, and they will come with the doll. They have a Made in Germany tag on them. Cissy in her torso gown makes for a beautiful display. Can’t believe I never displayed it on her. It was just stored once the slip elastic was repaired. She’s from a smoke-free home, and questions are welcome, along with requests for additional pictures. If I hadnt gotten laid off, this doll would not be up for sale… But life goes on. This is a gorgeous redhead Cissy , dressed in the HTF 1956 Black Torso Mermaid evening gown is in very nice condition but NOT mint in my opinion. Her hair is in all original form, blue eyes are turning a little green, full eye lashes, eyes close freely, no smells, smoke or odors She had good color on her paint, cheeks are bare, lips and body color is good.. No splits on the legs or crotch. Dress still has all the original rosettes on the outside and under layer of the dress. Original panties and fitted slip to the knee with flounce tulle to the feet. HTF ORIGINAL shoes, however, elastic is completely stretched out and there are some moth holes in the pink of the shoes. You should be able to see this clearly. Dress is in great shape, but upon examination, I did notice a few areas on the underside that should be refreshed and cleaned. There are some rub marks around her neck, I ran out of space for pics but can send if you want to see them. Clearly, in her 63 years of life, she has been admired from afar and not in played with condition. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part red/ auburn wig in curls with bangs, still has the original threads that tie the hair on the sides. Blue-green sleep eyes that open and closes with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing an original 1950′s tagged coral taffeta dress, it has a. Dot ribbon sash and pretty flowers at the neck. The dress has a few flaws, there is a lighter spot on the back and under the sash but it shows excellent. Underneath she has the cutest original hoop-skirt petticoat of. With a net ruffle, it has a few shadows of pink on it from being under the dress. Her panties are pink with lace trim, she has white plastic molded high heel shoes.
