Madame Alexander Dolls

This is the “Child’s Dream Comes True” series. Her dress, crinoline, panties, stockings and floral crown are original. I have added flowers from a 1956 Alexander hat to fill in her floral crown. I made her silver bracelet and her fan from a vintage jewelry finding. She wears vintage shoes that have had the elastic replaced. She wears a vintage “diamond” ring and I have replaced her missing “diamond” earrings. She will come with a replica of the 1955 Alexander tag. The dress is in very good shape, just some small rubs to the fabric. Elastic is stretched on her panties. Elastic has been replaced on her crinoline. Floral crown is faded but lovely. No stains on her clothing at all. Three rhinestones on her dress have darkened with age. The doll herself is in very good condition. Lashes are full and perfect. Hair still in hairnet with metal bar. Tiny scratches on her left upper thigh below the joint as shown. No splits or cracks at all. Ask any questions you may have. This is a wonderful example of this doll! Here, for your consideration is one absolutely gorgeous Madame Alexander 1957 Cissy doll, in her original outfit. This Cissy is beautiful! Her face paint is vivid, her eyes are blue and have all their lashes. Her rosy cheeks are lovely. I see no cracks anywhere. Her body coloring is even. I picked the ones I thought would give you a good view of her. Cissy is dressed in her original Bridal outfit named “Satin Train” from 1957. This wedding gown shows off a full gathered tulle skirt. The satin bodice is decorated with a thick trim accented with silver threads. A pleated Satin train cascades in the back of the dress. She also wears a chapel length veil with a coronet of flowers. She wears an under slip, which the elastic has stretched out and is pinned to hold it up. Her high heel shoes are in a plastic bag and will come with her. They look to be in good condition. Cissy is wearing her original pearl earrings, but on one side, the little teardrop is missing. She is wearing a pearl necklace and I believe it to be original to her. Her beautiful little head seems to be a little loose, but is attached. I just noticed, in the first nude picture, her hair seems to be parted a little and you can see that in the pictures. Here, for your consideration is one of the most beautiful dolls I have ever seen. This is a 20 inch Cissy from 1955, based on the information in my book. She is called “Blue Waltz”. Her gown is Blue heavy slipper satin with silver braid and “sapphire” accents. I just realized I see where one rhinestone is missing, but you can’t really tell unless you pick the fabric up and inspect it closely. I suppose it could be replaced. LOL Her gown has capped sleeves and is design detailed. She is wearing her matching slip with netting layers trimmed with satin ribbon. She is wearing panties, back seamed stockings and she will bring her original strappy heels. I put them in a little plastic bag and tied them to her arm, for fear of losing them. The elastic is stretched out, as so many of them are. In my opinion, she is drop dead gorgeous. She has a little white feather fan, but I do believe it is a replacement, as is her beautiful bandeau hat which seems to be a lovely copy of the original one. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. Now, there are some stains on the dress, not bad in my opinion, but I want to mention them. I took a picture of the ones on the back of her gown. In my opinion, they are not noticeable anywhere when she is on display, but you have to look closely to see them. They kind of disappear in the folds of that beautiful satin. Her hair appears to me to be mostly in the original set. Note the longer bangs. Oh yes, I just noticed you can see a small amount of the wig cap through her “hair” if you look closely. I really don’t know her history. This is the way she came to me. She isn’t absolutely perfect, but she is absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. That is all I know to tell you right now. This 20″ Cissy is style #2094 from the 1955 collection of Madame Alexander dolls called “A Child’s Dream Comes True. ” She is described in the catalogue as wearing “a breathtaking gown of heavy champagne slipper satin. Her muff of matching nylon tulle is decorated with ruby red roses. Her necklace and earrings of rhinestones and topaz. Beneath the gown, she has a champagne yellow hoop petticoat and matching panties and hose. This doll is hard to find, and in particular to find her with necklace and muff! Her hair and coloring are excellent, and I think there are remnants of the original hair net in her hair. While she displays beautifully, she has some flaws which I want to point out. In very good condition, she is missing her shoes and earrings. Her gown has a few small, almost imperceptible smudges and at least one pin hole which I tried to capture in the photo. I do not see a tag in her dress and her petticoat elastic appears a little stretched. She also has some dirt on her arms and a bit of residue or dirt on her neck where her head attaches (see photo). Not very noticeable but I want to describe as much as I can. She would be the perfect candidate for a Cissy spa that several of our talented MADC members offer! I have added many photos, but will take more if there is something that you would like to see. I would like her to find a new home, and in this case, prefer not to take her back, so offer her without return, unless I have grossly misrepresented her.
