This is a lovely 1955 Madame Alexander-kins Doll called’Wendy Goes To Sunday School’. She is SLW Kins which means she is a straight leg walker. She is in excellent condition with original auburn triple stitched wig, bright high coloring with brown brows, gray blue eyes that open and close freely, black under lashes, rosy pink cheeks and red lips. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. Wendy is wearing a beautiful tagged Alex-kins organdy lace dress, undies, eyelet shorter slip, kins fuzzy bottom shoes and rayon socks. 1955 Birthday Party Doll. She has shiny mint hair in tight curls and matte finish face with nice bright pink cheeks.. Her organdy dress is a rose pink with rick rack at the neck, the tag has been cut off. Over the dress is a lime green organdy apron with rick rack and multi flower trimming. She has a white cotton slip and crisp white taffeta undies. Her natural straw hat has a matching pink velvet ribbon and flowers. She has white socks and mint black fuzzy bottom side snap shoes. Her only flaw is a couple of small light age spots on the apron that are barely visible. So please remember this when leaving DSR ratings. This is outfit #376 of 1953 and one of the first 8 Wendys. She can be seen in Pat Smith’s World of Alexander-kins on Page 14. This Wendy is a SL- straight leg non walker. Her back is marked Alex. It is hard to believe she is 63 years old, and she is so precious. She is a blonde and her wig is triple-stitched. Her facial color is very nice and her sleep eyes work well. Wendy is wearing white organdy pantaloons, a half slip with lace at the bottom hem, white socks and white side-snap shoes. Her pink and white check cotton dress has small white rick-rack trim and it is very full. It has whit satin ribbon straps over the shoulders. She is wearing a white cotton pique jacket which has a flared peplum, cotton lace trim, and ties in front with white satin ribbon. There is a slight stain on the left side of the skirt which may come out. It hasn’t been laundered. I have shown it in the pictures. It isn’t too noticeable because of the fullness of the skirt. The hat is not original, but it is cuter than the original – at least I think so. It has a chin strap. I have included a picture of the original. Other than the stain on the skirt, I see nothing wrong – no rips, tears, holes, etc. She is in an Alexander box but it is not her original. Smoke and pet-free home. This is a vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll with box. The box is marked 2180. The box is in fair condition. The doll has unusual body as the arms are not jointed at the elbows. The head is in excellent condition as the net around the face, hat and wig look mint. The hat and net have never been removed. The face paint is superb. The yellow gown is tagged. The rest of the clothing is 100% original. She is however, missing one cameo earring. The shoes do have loose elastic. The HP body has no stains or cracks. The knees bend well. She is a brunette with blue eyes. She is wearing a tagged Madame Alexander Cissy doll Yellow Floral Taffeta dress with a cameo. She also has seamed stocking and pink panties and pink slip. All of the clothes are in Very Nice Clean Condition! They look Super Nice! She is Very Pretty and has no cracks or breaks and she bends just fine and is Super Clean! She does have a little white around the outer edge of her eyes inside. And her earrings are not there and it looks like maybe just some glue on the lobes, not quite sure. She is otherwise in Excellent Clean Condition! She has a clip in her hair and her hair looks pretty nice. She has a hard body and legs and head and her arms are soft. Her eyelashes look Great!
